Just like BET? BET doesn't depict black people in the "best possible and most inspiring light," in my opinion. Damn, it would be a shame if a WET channel was created that harps on white stereotypes the way BET does black stereotypes.
Really, there are very few people on this site complaining about BET (compared to the total number of users who frequent this category). As for myself, I don't really care for BET... But it isn't due to the absence of "WET". I don't like it because it perpetuates some of the most ridiculous stereotypes about black people in the U.S. Unfortunately, it probably won't change since it "rakes-in" ratings.
I love television. And it would be fair to say that, by our society's standards, I am a "t.v.-holic".... However, the truth is, I think television (and Hollywood, too, for that matter) supports ignorant stereotypes about us ALL. It's the reason why people think that a white woman would lay crying in a pool of blood, while her rapist takes a shower, instead of taking the opportunity to call the police. It's the reason why people think that a black man, whose wife was raped by another black man, would urge his wife to blame a white man for the purpose of making a statement about racism in America. These are just a couple of examples; and, yes, I know that not all people think these things. (And I'm aware that someone may post claiming that they've never heard anyone say such things. But *I* have, and it was due to some nonsense that people saw on t.v.) I'm just making a point.
Television and movies are a shame. We have so much to offer each other. But most of us sit idly by as we allow and support television and Hollywood to make a*ses of us and cause further division. Admittedly (and sadly), I am guilty of participating in the t.v./Hollywood madness- to the extent that I am an avid t.v. viewer and movie buyer. I'd like to work on that. And I'd like everyone else to do the same.
We need unity.

i'm no longer a type of people who call for a moist channel (doesnt it sound kinda grimy?!) yet i might help to be a mediator? through fact I kinda think of i be attentive to the place the animosity stems from. i'm no longer a racist individual via any skill. i'm fairly liberal via nature, yet i think of I kinda be attentive to what the deal is with people wanting a moist channel. See, maximum sensible people understand that discrimination is stupid and purely reasons pointless hate. And what sturdy can come of that? with the intention to demolish this hate, we prefer equality and we prefer there to be not greater dividing lines between races. it could be impossible to get each and every thing completely equivalent. there are particular issues that have been set aside as solely black. a pair of examples are Black entertainment television, some all-black colleges nonetheless exist, and additionally the United ***** college Fund. Black history Month. i'm no longer asserting those issues arent valuable to black people. They relatively could be. particularly help with a college preparation. yet as much because it enables out the black community, it additionally nonetheless instruments up one among those invisible "dividing line" which you would be able to desire to speak. it makes everyday that even although we are supposedly "equivalent" there nonetheless seems to be this concept that there is a "everyday" and then something else particular for "black people." There could be no equivalent as long as there remains segregation of something in any form, whether it relatively is meant to be a good ingredient for people, it nonetheless instruments up that physique of concepts that it relatively is "diverse" than something. On a thoroughly unrelated word, it additionally relies upon on your demographic. I stay in Massachusetts. Black persons are very a lot interior the minority up here. My little sister moved to Virginia. She emailed me and instructed me "it relatively is totally unusual. there are various of greater black people here than up north. you will possibly think of that through this, there could be much less racism, yet i detect that people down indexed here are much greater racist than we are up north." each and every so often the international has such backward good judgment. :(

Just contact Leslie Moonves at CBS Corporation. They own BET and MTV. Which explains the poor content.
Edit:
Forgot Viacom and CBS split.
Viacom owns BET,MTV, VH1,Comedy Central - etc.

Edit:
BBHead plenty of people within the black community have complained about BETs content. You should check your sources.
Personally, I don't know many blacks that watch BET, other than teens. Can you show me a source that shows the majority of BET viewers in compaison to the black population?

BBHead, the majority of blacks DO NOT enjoy BET. I hate it when people say "most of" or "the majority of" only to prove a point with no basis to it. BET is garbage and most of the black people I know (compared to the zero you know) agree with me.
Anyway, I agree with the question. Once they DID get a WET, maybe then they'd see how they never needed one in the first place.

The Juden would never allow this to manifest into reality in the West. "Nascar and rodeo" are not exactly the best examples of European culture.

BET is really lame, and all blacks should be ashamed having such a retarded stereotype on the airwaves, but yet majority of blacks enjoy it. Well I would rather not have a WET television network, I am secure with my race, unlike a lot of other whites, or other races out there that believe they need certain things directly for them to feel better about themselves. But yes I would rather watch a **** kicking cowboy rodeo show, than watch some gangster rapper sing with a mouth full of marbles, rapping about malt liqour and hookers.
