Cultures & Groups - 23 August 2006

I am going to give a 30+ minute oral report on the topic "Homosexuality" to my fellow students in a Human Sexuality course. This is a college level course to a group of mostly young heterosexuals. While I have more than enough material, my problem is narrowing it down.

Please answer the question(s) below in the category that fits you.

For my LGBT FAMILY:
What information would you want to make sure that the heterosexual population knows about us? Are there any sub-topics that you think are an absolute MUST when educating others?

For the HETEROSEXUAL POPULATION:
What do you want to know about homosexuals? Please, suggest ANYTHING. What topics would interest you if you were listening to a 30 minute oral report on the subject?


Either specific questions or broad general ideas will be appreciated. All answers will be seriously considered. If you don't want to answer publicly, please email me privately.

I just love it when straight people get on this web site and start telling us all about being gay and the reasons we are etc etc ad nauseum. What gives them the special knowledge to know more than my 57 years of being gay gives me? I only hope they realize that they are one of the main reasons why gay teenage suicide is at record levels,,and that they are proud of themselves for contributing to it. What possible difference would it make if it were a choice? Nobody is recruiting them to join. Usually people make choices because the alternatifve is worse for them. Please get try to walk a mile in our shoes before you judge us so harshly. And I just love the ones who say they don't hate homosexuality --just the deed. THen let they, themselves lead sexless celibate lives...even their own priests couldn't follow htat one

Brown people are in the middle of the Whites and Blacks. Whites and Blacks are always targeting each other and calling each other racist and stuff, but my question is Why brown people are out of the picture???....Do people NOT take us seriously or something??? are Brown people better than the whites and blacks???....Is brown people considered NOT racist......Brown people are are just safe in most racist situations.......I think that brown skin is beautiful, but NOT that shitty brown skin that Indians have, YUCK!!!...I'm talking about Brown people like in the Pacific Islands, Mexico, and South America or something. White people are too white and need tans, Black people are to black and dark and need to be light, that's why Brown people have the better skin color......

A while back (a bit over a year), I went to one, right now I even have a fiancee, but I am really starting to think it did not work, and I am just lying to myself... I do not know what to do or think! I am really confused, and I hate it!

Admittedly, I am really not attracted to women sexually, but I do like one as a person enough to have a fiancee obviously... So is it possible, at least a bit, that I might be gay still?

I thought I was a girl until I started school at age 5. Then she had my hair cut for the first time and I wore boys clothes. Has anyone else been in this situation ? Is that the reason why I crossdress now ?
