I thought I was a girl until I started school at age 5. Then she had my hair cut for the first time and I wore boys clothes. Has anyone else been in this situation ? Is that the reason why I crossdress now ?

Try reading mens' sexual fantasies by Nancy Friday it may give you some clues as to why you crossdress. I know it is a compulsion (been there) but a harmless one albeit a lonley one, unless like me, you find partners with a sense of humour, and they are out there. So dont hate yourself, dont spend too much time alone with the mirrors, find a yourself a sympathetic partner and have bundles of fun. Above all dont question yourself too deeply about why. I kind of outgrew my compulsion but have fond memories of it.

My mom did that with one of my brothers because she so desperately wanted a girl.

He turned out just great though so no permannet harm was done, as a matter of fact he laughs about it now.

I don't know that that is why you cross-dress though. It could be you actually have a more feminine side or could be guy or just like the feel of the fabric.

That's so Sleep Away Camp-ish.Yes it could be the reason you cross dress now.Mom definitely should have looked into adopting or being a volunteer with the Girl Scouts and I'm not trying to be funny.

Your mother needs to be prosecuted for child abuse and possibly given professional help. Life is difficult enough without creating additional confusion for your child. Your cross dressing could stem from that, although that in itself is not a problem. All the best to you.

Not necessarily,as I know of someone from a totally average background who went through a phase of cross-dressing,now he doesn't even feel any need to do it.I don't really understand your mum's thinking, seems rather selfish, but what do I know?Best of luck with your life,as you have it tougher than average.

Probably, but I could care less. Just be discrete and enjoy it while you can. Sometimes I wish I was a girl ... get pretty, and all. Ooooeee baby, let's rock!

That is so wrong of her! Yep, I'd say that's a good reason to feel confused about your sexuality now!

I'm sorry that you had to go through that difficult time in your life; That may have something to do with I just pray that God will heal and Deliver you from that Even though what you mother did may seem wrong I pray that you find it your heart to forgive her and forgive yourself, So God love the world that he Sent his only begotten Son Jesus Christ!!
