I've frequently heard it say that killing someone (even a civillian) in war is somehow more morally justified than killing someone in peacetime.

How is this so? Does the fact that they were done in a war context partially excuse Milosevic's massacres of Albanians? Or Saddam's gassing of the Kurds? Or the nuclear attacks on Japan?

Where is the moral difference?

I wish we could send people who dont apprecite the bless we have in this counrty to live in the most poorest country.for one month ,,, the people who live in the poorest country live in this country for one month they would appreciate living here' they would appreciate the food the clean water the toys the home the cars it would be like hollywood to them. I have heard people say your to fat or your to skinny some of use dont apprecitate the food we eat the small thing in life, they have just enough water to drink, and it not enough food to feed ther family they have no toys no clothes no play ground to play on some of use dont apprecitate the little thing we have in this country some of use dont like our jobs, food , drinks we have or our home we live in . if life was a game and they pay you $5,000.00 dollar would you switch placeist with the most poorest person in the world live in ther country for one month and hopefully that should make you apprecitate thing

Do you really believe that God can just be encapsulated and boxed in to such a small definition as one religions beliefs vs. another's? God is far greater than the definitions human beings come up with. Why? Because we are all divine. If you believe that God created all beings then all beings have the divinity of that God. Does it matter in the end how one reaches God or what God is? Do any of us really know? A life filled with goodness is just as good as a life filled with doing good for a God. In the end, none of us knows what is beyond this or whose God is right or whose God doesn't exist so why can't we just accept that the inherent divinity of another being is the closest we may ever come to God? The idea of Jesus being God and born of a virgin is only found in Matthew and Luke if I am not mistaken. It seems odd that Paul would not have included this highly important doctrine into his writings. Why do you think this is??

IF you believe truly that Jesus Christ is the one true way into heaven because the Bible states that Jesus said " no one gets to heaven except through me"... DO YOU honestly believe that ALL Jews, Muslims, Hindu, etc. are going to hell?

I was just reading about a guy who thinks the Trinity is totally false and baseless!

But its the teaching that I grew up with.

To me, it doesn't matter all that much because I simply believe that Jesus Christ was and is God.

I am a single mother of 3 and this is the second year I've been unable to give my wonderful kids anything for xmas. I am so depressed. I already suffer from depression and around this time it just makes depression so much worst. They are kids they don't understand why santa made it to their friends house and not ours. Old Testament Law and New Testament Law are both faulty, accusational, condemning, and often wrongfully convict the innocent. Law vs Law is as if divided against itself, and perhaps viewed by God as Loser vs Loser.

When you have reached that final hour, and see the end approach, what will you remember of your friends here on Religion & Spirituality?

Even thinking about this now, I am a bit overwhelmed. There is so much that comes to mind; the humour, the talented people I've met, the caring shown by everyone.....suffice it to say that I'm truly honoured that people have taken the time to be my friend. To be thought of as a friend is a rare thing, and an incomparable gift.
