Of course they should if they have an invitation. There is also fellowship to enjoy at a church dinner. Usually all are welcome.

Why not!
The only risk is if the food and drink are blessed. An atheist could burst into fire or melt or something.

Should a church member? No. I you attend, regardless of who you are, it should be for the purpose of the function.

the church should be open to all even to those who go their for a free feed, to start to denie people from the church is denying gods lost child even if they don't believe

im an atheist...and i get... un-nerved when i see this kind of thing happen.
i really dislike it when people take advantage of situations like this.
i go to church once a year... lol... for my mom... on easter. she MAKES me come there with the rest of the family for breakfast. (shes cooking there) and i pay my part for it.

I don't really care, and since the atheist doesn't believe in God anyway I can't see why they would be worried about the sin of hypocrisy.

If they're hungry enough, sure.
If someone's starving, then they aren't "wrong" to do whatever they need to do to get food as long as they're not hurting anyone.
