Not to be mean, but people learn at different rates and some people don't have the high enough IQ to pass anyway, so why stay in or even go for that matter?

Why do some people even have grudges against dropouts? They are people with feelings just like everyone else. Our society seems to be getting even more mean and hostile for the stupidest reasons.

likes to force your lifestyle down other people's throats? Don't you think people are entitled to their opinion too, just like you're entitled to live the way you want?

If not, do you think think that forcing people to agree with you is wrong?

What books do you find most inspiring to the Pagan Path? What about this book moves you? I'm not talking about most Pagan books, here. Just the ones you would call "Pagan Inspirational Literature" My personal favorite is The Golden Donkey (which isn't actually the title, but Yahoo is stupid, and censors certain words arbitrarily -- but the book is about a guy who gets turned into a donkey, and finally breaks down and turns to Isis for help. It is an inspiring story of hardship and faith from a Pagan perspective.)

My husband is in rehab for about a month now, we've been separated for about 5 months. I kicked him out because he hit my sister and pushed me around when he was drunk.

During the separation he has smoked crack, done other drugs, spent our money on partying, hit me, threw his wedding ring at my head (after he came back from rehab the first time, slit his wrists in front of mewhich he was there for about 3 weeks), and also told me that the 2 regrets in life are me and our daughter (who is 4). He also has a warrant for DV, and antoher for traffic tickets.

I know you are prolly thinking, "Divorce him already, how stupid are you!" BUT i still have feelings for him, like i feel sorry for him. i also feel SOO GUILTY because of my daughter.

He says he is "changing". However I dont think someone can change that quick. The rehab he is in is a Christian one, and they don't do any steps or allow medication for depression (which he was on).

Do people like this change?? is there Hope??

Word games, kind of childish isn't it? A reflection reveals a lot about existence. I love those who live under the philosophy, that life is about survival of the fittest, if that were true then your lives would be better than mine. I know for a fact, you are surrounded by one of two things, corruption or vanity. What's that? No such thing as sin / moral? (claps) Excellent. You are perfect. Life revolves around you, don't mind us we're just puppets. We exist to make you happy every way we can. We're here to amuse you. "You can walk complete circles around us all."

Want to know a secret? A sinner's paradise is the devil's playground, and in this playground no one gets out alive. You think you know? The joke's on you. Go on, keep on pretending the strings aren't being pulled from above or beyond. That's right my marionette, never mind us. We are the playthings.

unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them;

If so, how did you remain calm? What happened?

(P.S. - Bonus question - I've taken CPR classes, but I'd like to refresh my knowledge a bit, so if anyone knows any links to a good instructional website that would be appreciated as well :-)

There was this guy speaking at a college Christian rally. He is a Christian. He said:
"The UN reports that 10 million people starve to death every day. The said thing is most of you barely give a sh&%. The even sadder thing is, most of you care more than I just said that dirty word than you do about the ten million people that died today."
I thought that was actually a pretty cool point. Do you object to the method of delivery? Or do you think it was necessary to shock to show them that a breach of manners/legalism is more shocking than human suffering?

to put up your 2008 calendar already? A close friend of mine, got upset with me because I'd already hung up my 2008 calendar under this year's calendar. She says it's bad luck to hang it up now, because bad things will happen in the New Year. I say it's superstition, & she can believe what she wants, but I don't think as she does. Do you feel as my friend does?

Randy Carpenter shows: Luk 4:23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: And the people called him the carpenter, but, Jesus said he was a prophet among his own kin, in his own country, and in his own house,
Was he a physician or a carpenter ?

I've noticed some Pagans are uncomfortable with the word "worship." They prefer to say that they "work with" or "honor" their Gods. So, what is wrong with worship? Is it that you have a different relationship with the Divine than in other religions? Or do you just have hangups about words that remind you of the religion you left? Or, do you think of it as worship? Why or why not?

Surfing this site on the topic of foot fetishes, you rad a lot of male, but mostly female responses with words such as ewww, gross, sick, disgusting etc...I have watched many videos of girl on girl foot worship, and each scene are different actresses..now you multiply that and that 1000's of women, now I know they get paid to perform, but they also choose what part of the industry they want to perform in, so many choose foot worship over other sexual acts, so if it were so gross, they would just accept something else of the same $'s...I believe women say its gross because that's the social thing to say, and to say different would percieve them as being weird...So feet do get sweaty, but so do armpits, butts, genitals, fingers touch everything..so are you ladies saying that contact to any body part is gross?..or is it just brainwashed upbringing and public perception, and media..think about it..4 hrs after a woman showers, then uses the bathroom a few times, feet or vagina? orally , hmm

Especially with the R & S crowd, but I have to ask... Why is everyone so concerned about judging other's eternal destination? ( i.e. "they're going to hell because they don't "... )Why isn't everyone more concerned with THIS life? Now is the chance we are given to make an impact and focus on repairing the world for future generations. If people would go give blood or volunteer somewhere instead of concerning themselves with the salvation of others, I believe a lot more could get accomplished.
