debate those who don't believe? Are you:
1- Trying to reinforce your beliefs
2- Trying to remove a few lingering doubts
3- Trying to bring others around to your way of thinking
4- Trying to meet others of the same ilk.

I need to know if anyone thinks that when a person dies from suicide, that they go straight to hell. The Holy Bible states that there is no forgivness for taking ones own life. What then happens to the spirit?

a few years back we had a push bike stolen, and a couple of hanging flower baskets, but last night someone stole a measly $2 resin parrot that was glued to my mailbox, now honestly why would anyone even bother with that?

for those who, in a time of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality."-Dante Alighieri-

I disagree with this statement strongly. It isn't the ones who refuse to fight that are responcible for all the fighting in the world, it's the ones who fight.

I think that there has to be something or someone who started life with unicellular organisms which then evolved, but i dont see why anyone believes in the modern religions apart from from fear of hell. I believe there is a reason we are on this planet but i dont believe that some random guy who claims he is the son of God isnt just trying to get attention. I dont think anyone has "seen" god in their dreams and decided to write a book. I think there has to be something that started life but i think all of the religions that i know of are total bulls**t.

Anyone else agree with me??

Librarians in small town Oklahoma seem to think so.

"Books about witchcraft may disappear because self-styled censors are stealing them to keep them out of others' hands. "We are a tiny library in eastern Oklahoma and our most often stolen materials pertain to witchcraft. It is my belief that these books are taken by those who want to censor the materials, not by those who want to study them," wrote a public librarian from Wister, Okla."

Do Christians not understand why babies should be baptised? The present Catholic attitude accords perfectly with early Christian practices. Origen, for instance, wrote in the third century that "according to the usage of the Church, baptism is given even to infants" (Holilies on Leviticus, 8:3:11 ). The Council of Carthage, in 253, condemned the opinion that baptism should be withheld from infants until the eighth day after birth. Later, Augustine taught, "The custom of Mother Church in baptizing infants is certainly not to be scorned . . . nor is it to be believed that its tradition is anything except apostolic" (Literal Interpretation of Genesis 10:23:39).

Jesus called the children to him, saying, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God’" (Luke 18:15–16). Its true Christ prescribed instruction and actual faith for adult converts (Matt. 28:19–20), but his law on the necessity of baptism (John 3:5) puts no restriction on babys

I call these words "safe words". Because you can say them anytime and it will be alright. It's like saying "umm" when you're thinking.

I'm one of those people who say "like", "basically", and "probably" a lot.

My other friends have their own words. What are yours?

I was born again at age 25, and served the Lord for 10 years. At age 43, I came back to the Lord.Three years later I was kneeling in prayer alone at my bed and began to speak in tounges. After this, I experienced a greater degree of spiritual strength that I had not had before. My Bible understanding was increased, I wasn't as easily tempted with my temper, it was much more under control.I was still being tempted with addictions, but now I hated all of that stuff. Please don't think that I am boasting here. This wasn't something that I did, it was something that I had wanted for a long time.I give God the credit here. How many others have experienced the same? Please let the Spirit lead you while answering?

Prove me right, prove me wrong.

The best rational answer will get best answer.

You can answer it religiously or scientifically. You can approach it materialisticly, symbolically, abstractly.

I've been reading several books debating the devinity of Jesus. One book even claims that documents have been found dating Jesus to be alive after the date of the crucification. I don't consider myself a religious person... but I find all this facinating. How much stock do you guys put into these finding and readings? Does this really open up the ideas of exploration into religious backgrounds?
