1- Trying to reinforce your beliefs
2- Trying to remove a few lingering doubts
3- Trying to bring others around to your way of thinking
4- Trying to meet others of the same ilk.

Because we were atheists in a past life, and as punishment God has now forced us to surf yahoo answers for all eternity to reply to hypocritical snobs like you.

It appears from your 'question' that you are the one:
1- Trying to reinforce your beliefs
2- Trying to remove a few lingering doubts
3- Trying to bring others around to your way of thinking
4- Trying to meet others of the same ilk

Even though people may not believe in Christ, it is good to understand others' views. Personally, I do mission work and this is a good way to understand the thought process of non-Christians. Also, even though someone may disagree now with what I'm saying, they may have a change of heart someday. I believe I am planting seeds that someone may water later. Many have come to Christ over time from hearing the good news from different people.

Oh, and I have no lingering doubts.

None of the above.

We are fulfilling the commandments of Jesus.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Now..is here any part of that, that you didn't understand ?

We are here to have serious discussions about the bible and share knowledge with each other, and yes , to ask each other questions, not to argue with non believers, but you people butt in and give us no choice but to defend our position. Why are you non believers here causing trouble if you don't believe in anything this forum stands for? are you closet believers, trying to secretly find the truth, and too ashamed to admit it?

I'm new here but, i came to talk to other Christians about what was going on in peoples lives, and to be there for them in times of trial. however when i started to read what was going on here, i saw there was a much bigger work to do.

Some people on here are truly seeking the Truth.

I try to answer their questions as best I can.

I'm here to help people to learn to use their god-given reason. Especially for those asking questions, and those who are not atheists, but not religious either.

DEISM is the answer.

None of the above.

If we deride anyone, I want to apologize.

But we ARE commanded to spread God's message of Salvation through Christ, as seen here:

Acts 1:7-8 (New International Version)

7He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

God is compelling me to be here, to make His power more revealing to me.
