a few years back we had a push bike stolen, and a couple of hanging flower baskets, but last night someone stole a measly $2 resin parrot that was glued to my mailbox, now honestly why would anyone even bother with that?

They took your parrot just to be spiteful!!!! Before I sold the "big" house (now live in about 1/3rd the size) - I had a lot of wicker furniture on the front porch! However, we were a long way off the road, and there was a wall around the porch about 3' high! The furniture could not been seen from the street. So it had to have been taken by someone who knew that it was there! Thieves make my blood boil. CJ

A lawn mower, but I have myself to blame because I forgot to put it away. Also had a pair of lopping shears removed from my yard, and once someone broke into my pickup and stole things. That I think I know who the culprit was, a former stepson and his friend, but I couldn't prove it and they weren't caught. Once somebody came on my back porch and stole a fake fur throw that was on a chair, and a couple of other silly things. That had to be kids, and of course they weren't caught, either. But other than that, we have been lucky. Others in my neighborhood have not, some have had several things stolen. We keep all our buildings locked up, and so far no one has stolen any yard ornaments.

We have had stolen from here many many times. Some times they get caught and some times they don't.

A family member of mine caught one person here stealing some thing, made them bring it back. That person is now in prison but not over that.

To steal your resin parrot is crazy. I just don't understand why people thinks it's ok to steal from others. Personally I would rather give some thing to some one than them steal it from me.

Yes, i have a couple of things stolen from my clothes line and my front porch. Sounds like the things their taking from you is done by teenagers for a joke. Just to get you upset because what in the world can they do with a $2.00 parrot?

Yes. My brother's motorcycle was stolen by a teen. When they found it the bike was ruin. Perhaps the thieves thought it was funny to steal your resin parrot. Payback will come to them one day for something they really like being stolen or destroyed.

I've had a bicycle and a motorcycle stolen from my property. Just a few days ago, a magnet was stolen from my truck while it was parked in my driveway.

Why do people bother with this sort of thievery? Because some people have no respect for anything; even neighbors.

I had the same bike stolen twice. I found it sitting in someone's yard, kickstand up, not trying to conceal it at all. It was only a block from my house. I took it, called the police, and they went and took a statement, but did nothing. I bought a chain and someone CUT THE CHAIN and stole it again (same people, who knows?), and I never saw it again.

Yes, a radio on the porch, a concrete goose (2x) . A child most likely stole your parrot
