but do not claim to be roman catholic?...very serious question

TigerLily: why do you and Susan J have an aversion to calling yourself roman catholic? Susan J explicitly claims that she is NOT roman catholic....simply "catholic". i asked this question because of my discussions with Susan as you very well know. you both believe Father K to be Catholic. He is not...he is protestant...even though he claims to be catholic. and like Susan he denies being Roman Catholic and rightly so. Anglican Catholics are not at present in FULL UNION with Roman Catholic Church. i ask you to ask your parish priest whether he has the same aversion as you and susan have to being mistaken o known as roman catholic. like i informed you in private i too only refer to myself as catholic if asked in my personal life however i find it necessary to be specific here on R&S....therefore i proudly proclaim my roman catholicism.

There are 23 Rites of the Catholic Church in full communion. Additionally there are two groups who are seeking communion but are not yet in full communion which are the Oriental Catholics and the PNCC Catholics.

There are other groups as well such as the Old Catholics from the union of Utrecht. Then there are the traditionalists and the Sedevacantists.

not possible. The Roman Bishop, the Pope, governs the Roman Catholic Church.

No. There's always greater description to any organized religions. It's Roman Catholic at the very least. Ukrainian Catholic to indicate ethnic group. Just Catholic doesn't exist!
