How many people here who claim to be Christians and use the Bible for moral guidance have actually READ the Bible from cover to cover?

How do you decide which rules you are going to follow and which ones you are going to break (and you ALL break the rules laid down in the Bible on practically a daily basis without a second thought... trust me... if you disagree with that statement, ask your self again, have you actually READ the whole of the Bible?)

"Zoroastrianism is the oldest of the revealed world-religions, and it has probably had more influence on mankind, directly and indirectly, than any other single faith." - Mary Boyce, Zoroastrians: Their Religious Beliefs and Practices (London: Routledge and Kegan Paul, 1979, p. 1)

With the descriptions of heaven and hell, I wouldn't have anything to do with either. As a matter of fact, the description of heaven is worse than that of hell. I would be more than happy to usher "souls" on to their final destination however. It's a unique talent.

...chocolate chips in your village, town or city or country ? My soon-to-be boyfriend (I hope) likes oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips and we haven't any so I need to know if anyone has a solution, like chop up dark chocolate wafers into bits or similar solutions.

Could some one, preferably Pagan, explain to me how it harms anyone for Christians to celebrate the birth of Christ at this time of year?
How does it harm anyone if we wish them "Merry Christmas"??
Christians surely do realize that it is causing us no harm for you to wish us a Blessed Yule...

So, please...what's the big deal, anyhow??

Battle of wits, religious wars. It seems odd to me. That
a group of intelligent individuals, would feel comfortable
in a world, where most people actually believe in some
sort of DIVINE BEING. I guess it must be hard to believe
that with all of these things, like the Bible, churches,
synagogues...... Wow. What in the world happened to us,
that made us such an outcast to society. At least in that
category anyway..... Such a cold, dark, and lonely
life they must have. I feel sorry for em..... Although, I
don't really have to. But they are, who they are. Mislead
and confused minds. Oh, so sad. OK. Now which one
of you Atheist folks, can come up with the best insult
or jesture towards me ? If I like your response the most,
then you win. Today is Friday. Let's have fun.....

Here are some allegedly true stories

Hackers, managed to break into the telephone system of Weight Watchers in Glasgow, and changed the outgoing message to Hello, you fat bastard

From The Guardian concerning a sign seen in a Police canteen in Christchurch, New Zealand: +Will the person who took a slice of cake from the Commissioner's Office return it immediately. It is needed as evidence in a poisoning case.+

From The Derby Abbey Community news: -We apologise for the error in the last edition, in which we stated that +Mr Fred Nicolme is a Defective in the Police Force+. This was a typographical error. We meant of Course that Mr Nicolme is a Detective in the Police Farce.-

From the Churchdown Parish Magazine: -Would the Congregation please note that the bowl at the back of the Church, labelled -For The Sick-, is for monetary donations only.

but like say if a person is gay but is a good person etc
do they have more chance of going to heaven than murderers and such

is sin greater than one another e.g. lying and committing aldultery?

1st Satan came to me and promised me a fortune and immense god-like power. (I laughed at his face, for all he could offer is worthless illusions of make-believe. An empire of dirt; a crown made of plastic; useless puppets as servants; a.k.a. Queen Nothing )
2nd God appeared and thanked me for not falling into temptation and offered me endless gifts. Fortune; fame; children; love; goodness; peace; knowledge; a kingdom. (I laughed at his face, for here I was standing before God and all he could offer me was nothing more; nothing less than what Satan offered. Thus, I thanked him, but told him to keep his make-believe gifts.)
3rd Man appeared and glorified my existence for I had transcended beyond human limits. They offered me an existence of fortune, fame, love, goodness, power...etc..(I laughed so hard; then thanked them, but told them to keep their " precious make-believe junk".)
I came to a conclusion that all life is vain. We're just greedy children playing in mud building hope.

The situation: you saved a person from something bad. then that person would thank you. later on, he would probably give you a reward, for example money.

is it really right to accept the reward or just to politely refuse it? i mean that it is not just a reward. it could also be a form of gratitude to you for your heroic action.
