I'm speaking generally, not just about fundamentalist sects. References from the Koran would be appreciated.

As far as I'm concerned that's another way to force people to be politically correct & not have a mind of your own. Since i was a kid it was always Merry Christmas but now all fo a sudden b/c some ppl want to make this a religious fight now they are trying to force the public to say Happy Holidays. I still say Merry Christmas regardless. This is in no way trying to bash anyone or any holidays but i don't see anyone trying to make a controversial thing when someone says Happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa. It's only a problem when someone says Merry Christmas. It's another obvious double standard against christianity. My opinion is if you don't want to say Merry Christmas don't say it. Don't take away other people's right to say it. Same way with me if i don't want to say Happy Holidays. It's my right to say Merry Christmas if that's what i choose. Not a bashing thing against anyone. Just my honest opinion.

then did you try a different type of church? There are many different types of churches and one type will not suite every person. I personally agree with the atheist that stated that the Catholics are zombies for even the Bible is strictly against non-sense repetition, but I chose to be a Baptist instead. If no church is suffecient, then at least read the Bible before you quit on God for he has not quit on you.

I asked a question about the observation that different religions believe conflicting "truths" with equal intensity and sincerity. One person responded that she believes they may feel exactly the same as she does, but this is because they were deceived.

My question is, how do you know you were not deceived if you feel the same way as others who disagree with you?

(King Hezekiah) would die soon. Then Hezekiah repented & God granted him another 15 years to live. But Isaiah's initial prediction didn't come to pass.

So? His Isaiah's initial predictions didn't come to pass, so did Isaiah hear from the Lord?

that the atheists might not be right, after all?

I'm not referring to any one religion, necessarily...but, seriously...are you all that positive that there truly is, somewhere, a Creator...a Mind, if you will...that does exist, and that is vitally concerned about each of us?

Do you ever wonder whether atheists might not have more freedom to live their lives without religious constrictions? Do you think you might be missing out on something?

Please be polite. There is nothing intelligent about making fun of what you do not understand, or do not share. All you show with condescending attitudes is that sour grapes only produce whine...

One of the biggest problems many of us have with the Christian faith is that there are countless sects within it. It seems that no two Christians -- often of the same denomination -- can agree on much.

They can't even decide which Bible is the proper one to use.

If they were all unified in their beliefs, would you respect it more?

don't you know that you're only making God look like an ego-maniac? you are causing downfall to the rest of Christianity because of your twisted truth.

In Mexico, people go to mass on the evening on the 24th, then have dinner and open their gifts; instead of doing a large meal during the day and opening their presents on the 25th. Is this a Christian tradition or is it just a Latin tradition?
