I got the rudest stares from some of the other families when I decided to disrobe before trying out a big trampoline at a friend's recent cookout. Am I the crazy one here?

My brother-in-law is a Mason and he is so secretive about it. Should I worry that he is in a cult or is that not what the Mason's are about?

I could take 4 of Span. then 4 of French or 2 of Spanish and 6 of French. I dunno because they are both Latin based languages. I am an American who would like to move to either Europe or Africa so French just seems more logical then Spanish

Gravity is a force that cannot be seen yet its effects can be observed. If someone were to suddenly claim that gravity does not exist how would he come up with proof to the contrary?

Just as gravity’s existence is sure, so too is the existence of God. The majority of people do not believe in unicorns and leprechauns, however, a majority believes in God. Why shouldn't we equate your arguments to fantasies such as leprechauns and unicorns?

While talking to a friend not long ago, he brought up the subject of his father. My friend is straight, however, because of his attitude and manner of dress, most people presume he is gay.

As we were discussing his father, he brought up something...he said that his father once told him that if he "decides" to be gay, [[decides? wtf...]], he will be disowned.

While we were talking, he laughed about it. We both support gay marriage, and it was angering to hear about this, but I managed to laugh, instead, at his father's idiocy.

But lately, it's really been bothering me. I've never met his father, but it's hard to leave it alone. I just want to scream at him!

Yes, I know that I can't go to a stranger's house, and yell at him. But, do you have any suggestions, for how to cope with my anger at him??

Pro 19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
God is telling us: learned to listen and be wise! Not to think you know better than God Himself!

Meaning if we truly believe God's Holy Words, why do we need to do things that is not commanded to us? To show or what?
Besides, Not ourselves that could do to saved ourself, but the Holy Spirit, the grace of God.
So why not rely, depend and trust God? Philippians 2:3; John 15:5.John 3:3; John 3:7.
Obeying God rather than men? Act 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

I dunno a lot about the British royalty. I know ole Charly is first in line too the throne, then William and then Harry. If something had to happen to Charly, Lizzy and William that would mean that Harry would become HM King Henry of Britian or whatever title he holds. Chelsey Davy a South African born girl would asscend the throne as Her Majesty Queen Chelsey of Brittian making it the first non-British royal to become queen ! Horrrray for the South Africans ! That is if they get married !

I think it goes like this:

1 cup of a Bible verse taken COMPLETELY out of context
1/2 cup of liberal rhetoric
1 dash of know it all

Mix together and cook for fifteen minutes. Serves 10 percent of the world's population.

Agree?

I know some people that are such hoarders of money that their lack of spending sure does show. They have to be high wage earners as they both have state jobs, but their house looks like something from a third world country. Their clothing is nearly rags and their vehicles are over 10 years old.

Reincarnation is not a fundamental Buddhist belief.

You're thinking of Hinduism. They're quite different.

Some Buddhist sects believe in reincarnation, but many do not. Buddha himself never said one thing about the afterlife one way or the other. He said it wasn't "of the moment." The afterlife isn't terribly important in Buddhism. Because Buddhism began in India, where the predominant religion was (and still is) Hinduism, many Buddhists continued to believe in reincarnation. However, many other sects in places like Japan, have a very atheistic view on the afterlife, and believe when we die, we return to the universe, and everything that makes us "us" ceases to be.

I keep seeing people answer the "What do Buddhists believe in?" questions here with "They believe in reincarnation." I just wanted you all to know that that is not necessarily true. Buddhism is not as rigid as other religions, and in fact, many Buddhists have widely different beliefs.

Sorry for the rant. :)
