Question about the amount of deaths from serial killers?

My question: I want to know, out of all the murder victims in the USA per year, how many of them are caused by serial killers?

the percentage of deaths caused by serial killers is actually lower than the percentage of people getting struck by lightning. i don't know the exact number, but from what I've read and seen in documentaries, the chances of you meeting a serial killer are extremely slim, however the chances of escaping once targeted by a serial killer are almost none.

I don't know the percentage, but it's actually pretty low.
