Nobody can dispute the fact that things like worshiping the wrong God, working on the Sabbath, and thinking your neighbor's spouse is cute should be criminal offenses.

What better way to make them criminal offenses than to amend the Constitution?

I had this friend who was always picking on me. Or just saying some really rude stuff to me- that I did not appricate. Anyway, in the past, when she does this sort of thing, I start to distance myself from her (Still be nice- but realize, I don't need someone like her in my life), and she start acting nice again and we become some what friend again and the cycle continues. Anyhow, several weeks ago, she became really jealous and paranoid. I decided then and there that I was no longer going to be friends w/ her. So, when she started being nice again (part of the cycle) I was civil, but for the most part chose to ignore her. She has finally gotten the message and stopped being so nice. So my questions are, as a christain is it bad to ignore someone and actually feel good about it (I like the fact that she realize- that she couldn't treat me like that and come crawling back. 2- as a christain how much do you have to take from people?

It's called the paranormal. People say the solution exists, but noone has really seen it. Some bi people do gay stuff, so just because they started dating opposite genders doesn't mean they changed. Don't you agree?

If we have sex with a married person..... is this reasonable?
If we eat fried chicken and steak everyday....is this reasonable?
If we hate a person so much, we are like poison to ourselves...is this reasonable?
If we abuse others by words and actions...is this reasonable?
If we waste money on pornography then fall behind on bills...is this reasonable?

I am not stating the previous examples are all sins, but it points out our daily activities aren't that reasonable in light of health and morality.
Many atheists state theism isn't reasonable. I say, many things in life we do---aren't reasonable. If this life is lived in an unreasonable way (and we all do), how can we reject religion on the grounds of reason--as unreasonable?

I teach High School and my question is: Can I talk to students about religion if they ask me about it first? I am the Youth Director at my church and all the youth members go to my school so I feel confortable talking to them about religion but what about their friends who are not apart of our Youth Group?

I never did get completely into the groove during the 60s, but I believe that I did MORE than my share of beer drinking and partying. I was very 'misguided' (heh, heh, heh). I don't remember ever meeting a real 'hippy', and I'm not sure what a 'yippy' was.

Ive been doing a college thesis on the psychological analysis of violent behavior. Are you a serial killer ? Do you kill or torture animals repetitiously ? Do you wonder why you do it ? Are you reclusive ? Have you been wronged repeatedly or were you abused sexually as a child ? Do you feel inward convictions of respect for the physical welfare of others falling away ? Are you addicted to porn ? Do you feel a deep hatred for women for any reason ? If you are a serial killer..you could be much more important if you turned yourself in to the authorities and confessed. You would be able to get the recognition you crave and the help you deserve.

Suppose astronauts were exploring the moon and one day came across what appeared to be an ancient battle field on the moon. This battle field was littered with the bodies of what appeared to be angels. Moreover, it appeared that the angels had been fighting one another.

If such a thing was found, would it affect your religious beliefs in some way? How would you interpret such a discovery?

I was reading some of the responses to the following question:

and one individual stated that 'great scientists are known to be very religious persons'.

Obviously before the 19th century you are unlikely to find many scientists who claim to be agnostic/atheist due to the very real threat of judicial punishment that they would be subjected to.

However, I cannot think of any 'great' scientist since the mid 19th century who was 'very religious'. For example, Darwin died a convinced atheist despite the claims of 'Lady Faith' who maliciously stated that he recanted his theory of evolution on his deathbed. Einstein also was a non-believer as can clearly be seen in his many letters on the subject and indeed the hate mail he received from certain religious groups in America. For details of this read Chapter 1 of the God Delusion.

Who then are these 'Great Scientists'?

There is a point regarding the Name of God that I want here to address. Jehovah is identified as “the LORD God” in upper case, whereas Jesus is referred to as “the Lord” in lower case. Few people realize that the word “Lord,” whether in upper or lower case, is translated from the word Baal. So that if one is praying “Lord, Lord,” he is calling upon demonic--i.e., extraterrestrial--Baal gods. This is why Jesus Christ spoke out against certain people calling on “the Lord.” (See Matthew 7:22, 23)
