They were an interesting group. I think they could have been successful for much longer if lead singer Alan Wilson hadn't taken his own life in 1970. He was going blind and suffered from intense depression.

I do. Their little high-pitched voices were funny. Going up the country was correct I believe.
I used to know an artist by the name of Tony Joe White who wrote "Rainy Night in Georgia." He could sing and also play the harmonica. Gosh, I miss him.

For sure. I used to hang with them some back in the 60's in San Diego. They were just a garage band then and they played at many a biker bash at my pal Leroy's house. They sound better when you've had the proper amount of weed, speed, and copious amounts of cold beer.
