I just wanted the opinions of people of MidEast and North African descent about bellydancing? Is it shyed away from? Are there only certain people that are expected to practice it? Do some cultures continue to teach it as a valid tribal/cultural art form? Thanks for your answers, and I apologize if I've angered anyone with my ignorance.

Why is it that when an Atheist asks a Christian a question, and vice versa, when it comes time to choose the best answer, they always choose someone who shares their beliefs? Example...Atheist asks "Christians why do you believe such and such" then lots of Christians answer the question and the person who gets best answer is always some Atheist who either just agrees and confirms the Atheists' beliefs or says some sarcastic remark to answer...Same thing the other way around...I'm not siding w/either at the moment but if you are strong enough in your beliefs to ask a question to someone w/ a different belief, why not stick to your question guideline and give the best answer to the person who really was answering your question...If you address a question to an Atheist you can't give best answer to a Christian of your beliefs! It just doesn't make sense, and leads me to believe that religeous questions are not meant to be resolved, only to ruffle the feathers of the opposite believers...

If you ask a random question about Christianity, you will always get a variety of answers from people who all hear from the same god. Why, OH WHY, would he be sending out differing and many times opposing information to his people?

This Christian hears one thing, that Christian hears another, yet the next Christian hears something completely different.

For a group of people who claim to have a relationship with this guy, it seems as though none can get the same answer from him by asking. Sure they can give the same scriptural quote, but I can do that too. Anyone can. I'm talking about people who hear from God. Why are they hearing different answers???

Think about it - I can't really remember a time when so many natural disasters have occurred, within the same period. Take that, all the conflicts throughout the world - and it seems the lid isn't too far from shooting off. Never mind global warming - or maybe do - it's like the world senses the strife of our age, and possibly the climax of our global epoch would be some kind of catastrophe. Is any of this possible to any of you? Often I think about the movies and games where a character saves the world and no one ever knows - but him, and his superior intelligence officers. How many times has the world been saved in the past few years, few months; and is the world OK?

Ideas are not inscribed in our DNA and are learned later in life. That means God was invented by the human mind and passed down ever since infancy as family tradition or influenced by society. No human being on this planet is born with beliefs in God or anything else. This is why people over several generations have been following different Gods all over the world. So before you give me the free will speech notice that people are not born with it. If you need conclusive evidence and this does not provide enough evidence for you, then just look at our reproductive cells we need for biological reproduction and ask your self this. Does sperm and egg believe in God?

Isaiah 40:25
"To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One.
Isaiah 40:18
To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to?
Psalm 89:6
For who in the skies above can compare with the LORD ? Who is like the LORD among the heavenly beings?

Answer:
Psalm 86:8
Among the gods there is none like you, O Lord; no deeds can compare with yours.
Isaiah 46:9
Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.

Who can Compare? NOBODY. For He ALONE is God! And all glory belongs to Him! Do you doubt this?

Jesua plainly taught that he was not to be worshiped. He taught plainly that we capable of doing everything he did and more.

Yet many, if not all, Christian denomonations worship Jesus as beyond themselves. Thay call him "Lord" and sing praises to him. But they do not follow his teachings. Do not really know the lessons he taught.

Why do they just not understand?

Did the people who crucify Jesus go to heaven or hell?

If you chose heaven: Why did they go to heaven, if they crucified Jesus, meaning that if they went to heaven they didn't accept him. Therefore, if they did go to heaven without accepting Jesus, then why should anyone. Because didn't Jesus die for everyone's sins anyways. So, those people if they went to heaven were forgiven because he died for them. So they didn't except him then.
Now....

If you chose hell: Why hell, if God meant for Jesus to die for people's sins, meaning that he had to pick those people to kill him. So if they went to hell, what happened to the whole Jesus died for everyone's sins? Didn't he die for them? God had to choose the people to kill him, if God wanted him to die for people, so now that they killed him, why are they going to hell, if he died for everyone's sins!

I already know the answer and there isn't one, because I do not believe in christianity whatsoever, just want to see the responses!

Christmas Catalogs? I remember when I had to tell my son and nephew that Santa did not exist (we let them believe for a while because its fun). But they got over it when we told them to make a wish list and use the catalog to find what they wanted. I loved that they would put the page no., describe the item and then put the price. They would say its "only $59.99."

I'm going to be intentionally vauge here, and if you don't want to give an in-depth answer that's fine. In the past few weeks have you experienced any overwhelming feeling of 'danger' or 'foreboding' that popped up out of the blue? Even a yes/no would be helpful.

Well Im a Catholic and Im only 19 Im no biblical scholar but when ever I go to church with my mother I hear people praising mary like shes a goddess. When I ask my mom shes like where not praying to mary but I think shes denile like most catholics and then theres idol worship. My family members have like little idols of saints and so do so many ppl in my church all these saints have diffrenet purposes like there just replacing greco-roman gods or something. Please do not say that catholic ppl do not pray to these statues alot do . And then theres the pope I seen ppl kneeling before him and crying like hes jesus himself calling the pope holy and father hes just a damn man he was chosen by other men to be pope not by GOD and I think the pope is wrong for allowing ppl to treat him like hes jesus. Isnt idol worship wrong, making mary into a goddess wrong , treating the pope like hes jesus wrong. Now I dont think that catholics are bad I think that were the victims of the Vatican.
