And does not this effort of using science in the service of religion contradict totally the idea or principle that a leap of faith is not about proving either logically or scientifically that a creator-God exists.

Pls avoid the temptation some may have to critique either the Q or the asker for asking the Q since neither effort is relevant to any rational effort to answer the Q and have a constructive discourse about the topic which is the relation betw *science and religion* or alternately *knowledge and faith.*

On my family crest, it says Lux et Salus and I was wondering what it meant. According to my dad Lux means light, but I've no idea. Can someone help me out?

why non of the media does not STRONGLY attack the dumb concept of god , since any one who use his brain knows that the "god" story is man made myth bu||s||it , and politicians and their business friends use it to gain power and money.

I`ve just turned 39 and the countdown has begun.........hubby (same age) has just bought a huge motorbike...never having riden one before! And I`m tempted to get my first tattoo or dreadlocks or something!!! How sad are our attempts to keep middle age at bay?

They pay for a fifty dollar item with one dollar bills... They pay the exact change, in dimes and nickels... They want to pay for one item using three different credit cards... Or they even have their 8-year-old pay, and he starts counting the bills... As the line grows extensively long and this one transaction reaches 5 minutes long, are you frustrated?

A casual friend of mine passed away and he was LDS, and I wasn't sure what to expect at his funeral. Does the dress differ in their chapels? How long will the ceremony last? Any other information would be welcome. Thanks!

Why would a person want to unite "cristiens" against "evil thinkers" when they cannot even organize their own thoughts?
