One of the basic laws of science is the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, which says that everything is breaking down, going from a state of order to disorder. Every field of science recognizes this law except one, biology. Biology says that single cell organisms joined together to form more and more complicated organisms, breaking the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. Biology is the only branch of science that doesn't recognize this law. HOW COME?

don't worry about the topic of the talk, it doesn't matter. After being LDS for 5 years now, I still NEVER feel emotionally drawn to any talk anyone has ever given. What gives?

That's like saying "I disagree with oxygen."

You can not disagree with something that is.

What is, is. Do you think people actually mean to use another word?

You can't disagree race or nationality. You can't disagree with gender. Where do people get off disagreeing with orientation?

I heard of a contest once where people were suposed to write in what they would be willing to do in a big department store window, where all could see, if they were garanteed to be paid $1,000,000. Lots of people tried to out do each other by writting in the most nasty, humiliating, outlandish thing they could think of doing in publice for a million dollars.

I always thought it would be far more interesting to know what people would refuse to do if they were offered a million dollars to do it.

For me (a female), I am interested in girly/emotional men or boyish/confident women.

Does bisexuality ever tone down with age or after finding your significant other? For those who are bisexual, do you still look at both genders after being with your partner?

Please excuse my ignorance on this question. I didn't know how to word it.

There's this hallucogenic drug I keep hearing about which regardless of who takes it, everyone has the same experience of meeting hundreds of benign elves/dwarves who welcome you and attempt to take you off somewhere. Whats the name of this and has anyone tried it.

She decribes him as dark with a large nose and big lips and speaks to her. I had a dream about a man who was buried under my house, which is off an old cattle drive road. Could Papanos be a real sprit? I guess that is the way you would spell it or popanos. Concerned parent

First of all saying that a dictator who's killed thousands is punished exactly like a atheist who hasen't done a thing is stupid.
Second, why can't he just kill sinners. Let the dead stay dead?
It would get rid of those dirty sinners forever.
Third and finally do christians actually enjoy this idea?

What about people who have severe depression or mania and are unable to experience religiosity, let alone accepting a 2000 year old savior? Take an example of a person who wants to believe but the brain is being irrational and is loaded with contradictory emotions that interfere with critical analysis.

Let's say this person suddenly gets killed in a car accident while depressed.

Is this person going to be condemned to an additional eternity of intensified suffering because the brain that god himself created wasn't working properly?

Couple of questions:

Is it really true that in Islam believers are promised 72 virgins when they die if they do certain things?

If yes, then what do they have to do to get 72 virgins?

Finally, if the answer to #1 is yes, then isn't it EXTREMELY manipulative and LOW to play upon people's sexual drives to get converts to a religion?

Artist: Lyrics
Song: Imagine Lyrics

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
