Song: Imagine Lyrics

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

John Lennon of the Beetles.
I feel about the song that even without religion in the world That people would not be all common and kind just because.
That kindness and caring has to be taught by all, and as humans , we are not clones so that would never happen.

Beautiful song. Beautiful ideals.

It's a utopian world, one that man has been trying to create since the beginning of time. And we continue to fail miserably.

The bible says that in the last days the world will be decieved into believing John Lennon's world can exist. One government - one religion - one currency - and one antichrist posing as the savior of the world. And many will fall for his lies.

I think the right-wingers still think John Lennon was some sort of pinko-atheist-commie-tree hugging-hippie. But I admired the sentiments; idealism is great, it's too bad it's also horribly unrealistic.

I believe Lennon specifically used the term Religion meaning organised faith , he was saying that there should be no war between different faiths and creeds and for the trouble organised religion has caused man is better off with out it

I don't think it was saying there is no God or there shouldn't be a God

This will only happen when Jesus returns. Only God can truly unite the world. Mankind just makes a mess of it.

May God Bless you.

I think of my own philosophy and perspectives on life (which is somewhat similar to this song).

This is actually a favorite song of mine that when I first heard it as a kid it made me think.
