Most black ppl have no historical knowledge of any slave trade.

Britains involvement in the slave trade was minimal compared with that of the their fellow africans rounding them up for sale.

Britain was the major instrument in the abolition of the slave trade globally.

There hasnt been a recognised slave trade for 200 years. No one can feel "oppressed" by it anymore.

I think maybe its something blacks like to use as a weapon of guilt and sympathy seeking against whites, possibly to justify a failure to progress.

Yes, I wouldnt have wanted to be a slave. But many whites have died in conflicts seeking freedom for all.Including blacks.Whites dont throw that in the faces of blacks who now enjoy the freedom whites died for.

Queue here for violation reports those who are hurt by the truth>

Corinthians 3:14–15: "If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire."

You would think it (god) could has slipped in something useful like an accurate description of the solar system, germ theory, an accurate estimation of pi, or even telling the people to wash their hands before delivering an infant. The last one alone could have saved the lives of countless women.

Instead we get a bunch of fanciful tales of talking snakes, walking on water, zombies, and the sanctioning of slavery.

We all know that the water cycle did not exist for a while, because there was no rain. Then the flood came. Is this when the hyrdologic cycle got started?

If so, what happened when all that floodwater evaporated? Didn't it have to come back down, and therefore cause another flood? Noah couldn't exactly hit ctrl + alt + del to end this process, now could he?

Think that they are really tough? I mean seriously, it's not like some girl that is 5'6 and has short spiked pink hair is fooling anyone. Pretty much any male could kick her , does she not realize that?

Most Christian Creationists seem to think the Bible must be inerrant. Yet there seem to be several aspects of the Bible that show it is not inerrant:

Leviticus 11:6 states that rabbits chew their cud.

(Also see my previous question).

1 Chronicles 16:30 and Psalm 93:1 seem to state that the earth is immobile; yet it not only revolves and orbits the sun but is also influenced by the gravitational pull of other bodies.

Also Joshua 10 tells us that it is the moon and sun that move, and not the Earth. If we read all of these literally, we must conclude that the Earth is immobile.

With this in mind, do you think the Bible should be used as a science book? Or is Genesis better seen as a story with a message about the imperfection of humanity?

Before you who say that rabbits chew their cud, I suggest you look at the definition of the word:

Perhaps this might be a silly question, and to some it will be, but it's just a thought that I am currently wondering. Many Western parents (not I!) encourage their children to believe in Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, etc. Do you suppose that continual let-down during childhood might lead to cynicism, which might lead to a lack of faith in God?
