Most Christian Creationists seem to think the Bible must be inerrant. Yet there seem to be several aspects of the Bible that show it is not inerrant:

Leviticus 11:6 states that rabbits chew their cud.

(Also see my previous question).

1 Chronicles 16:30 and Psalm 93:1 seem to state that the earth is immobile; yet it not only revolves and orbits the sun but is also influenced by the gravitational pull of other bodies.

Also Joshua 10 tells us that it is the moon and sun that move, and not the Earth. If we read all of these literally, we must conclude that the Earth is immobile.

With this in mind, do you think the Bible should be used as a science book? Or is Genesis better seen as a story with a message about the imperfection of humanity?

Before you who say that rabbits chew their cud, I suggest you look at the definition of the word:

OK fine, if you don't want to use Wikipedia don't look it "cud" there; use a biology book.

But it doesn't stop you from answering the question.

Its so interesting that people will disregard all those errors as "mistakes made before we had better knowledge", yet still believe the rest of the bible to be God's word.

Suppose you are a teacher of children 6 years old; and you need to explain them facts about physics, would you teach them nuclear physics and quantum theory and relativistic theory?
The answer is no. I guess you would explain matters which you know are not the exact truth. because they cannot understand these knowledge until they gather more data.
The same applies to GOD. GOD reveals to humanity knowledge that they can understand at the time of revelation.
So in Joshua the sun moves relative to earth and it is not 100% true but also it is not wrong answer.

Oops, how embarrassing for God. That perfect being wrote a book with errors in it. And not even knowing that the creature that he created does not chew it's cud, lol. Color him red and put the Dunce cap on his head for such a stupid error.

the bible was written for everyone to understand. years ago we did not have this scientific knowledge and the bible would have be disregarded as nonsense. Look at all the science do they tell you what the meaning of life is? maybe scientists are not so clever after all

How could anyone ever be stupid enough to use Wikipedia as a source?

I could add a listing in Wikipedia today that said you were 100% made of cheese and you won the javelin catching competition in the 1936 Olympics. Would that make it true?

If you are going to post citations here please use actual sources.
