I guess what I'm saying is that actions speak louder than words. Some people say God bless you but are so naive of the situation in third world countries.

Say when you have two words in order and one of the word ends in the sound "s" while the other one starts with the sound "s", do you pronounce the "s" twice or just once.

eg. mike loveS Sisters

When I try to pronounce both "s"s, i get tongue tied and have to slow down to make each "s" sound distinctive. Does this happen to you too?

What do you think about some of the verses in the Old Testament, especially Deuteronomy and Leviticus, being violent and derogatory to women? I don't have anything against Christianity because it's no longer a fundamentalist faith, it has been secular for 200 years, and it generally brings out the best in people nowadays...Do you agree that it has moved on ahead of these verses a very long time ago, and that they pertain to the ancient world of the Old Testament?

Truth is that snow melts on warm concrete.

Truth is that the relationship of positive and negative is give and take.

Truth is that rain tends to fall.

Truth is that the rich are that way because they do not spend irratically or on impulse.

Truth is that life occurs in the present tense.

Everyone needs to hope in something. Christians hope in an eternal Life with Jesus and other Religions have similiar hopes in there God / s. But what do atheists hope for, is it something that science can prove is real. That would leave few options because most of what science can prove is really just theory. Anything else they might hope for will end with them at their death. A wise saying says that "God's way leads to endless hope, Man's way leads to a hopeless end."

The Fall of Lucifer sure sounds like the War of the Titans. Eve being tempted with a snake sounds an awful lot like Pandora's Box, doesn't it? Why does the Garden of Eden remind me of The Garden of the Hesperides?

Why do so many people that claim to be Christians have hearts and minds so full of hate?

Is it because most of them are blindly following what they've been told without actually READING the scriptures?

I see Christians all the time bashing gays, people of other religions, people who think differently than they do.

It seems like to me that if you're going to call yourself a Christian, which by the way the definition of "Christian" is to be Christ-like in doctrine and belief, that you wouldn't be so closed minded and treat other people like crap just because they don't think like you do. Thousands of people who were once believers leave the church every year because the people around them are intolerent, closed-minded, ignorant and self-rightious.

I think Jesus would be very disappointed if not pissed off over the way some of his so-called followers act nowadays.

What d'ya think?

Is that why Muslim men have to ablute (purificational wash) for prayer if they are touched by a woman? CAIRO GUIDE, the American University in Cairo's famous tourist handbook, says a woman shouldn't embarass a man by making him shake hands with her, since he will have to ablute again. Is this true?

Let me put it this way: whenever there is a basket of chips or a box of candy, there is always one left at the end. No one wants to eat it. If someone eats that last chip, are they being an asshole for eating it, or are they actually being nice because they are taking the burden of being the asshole and make everyone else look nicer?

opportunities, I wouldn't necessarily say I was happy living here, what with terrorism, etc, etc. I was recently burgled (a week before Xmas) and they took everything. My uncle up in the North said, "You want to get away from down there and come up and live here". The thing is I worry I won't have the same job opportunites and although it might be 'safer' up where he is (Newcastle), I do wonder if it's a right or wrong decision. Will northerners will accept me? I don't know what to do. I just seem to go from one crisis to the other living in London and would a move like that be good? I know you don't know me, but just a few hinters would be great. Thanks.
