What could my husband (whom is an alcoholic) and I possibly do tonight since he has quit drinking for 3 weeks now? We can't go to any parties since he will be tempted to drink, and we cannot go to any bars for the same reason. We are bored to death here at home.

When conflicts occur take a step back & watch how you react. Our first impluse is to use authority, to exert control, to nip the fights in the bud. But honestly this doesn't teach children to work out their own differences, instead it teaches them to be totally dependant upon us to resolve their problems, and this dependance is taken into adulthood. Another reaction is to yell at them, "Stop Fighting!!" Rather than listening to see what their real needs are.
To sit back, in laziness is a pitfall in modern day family life. This laziness is the bored irritation that causes someone to yell without listening to attain the required information to help them solve their problems together. Rather than getting dragged into fights with our children,
stop, and mindfully listen, yes listen attentively!
It may be that some bickering gives them the chance to negotiate, and to work things out on thier own. It is o.k. to feel a little irritated.
Our children can teach us Patience & Love !!

Why do churches always display Jesus as having long hair? Since the Christians claim to have read the Bible front to back, they KNOW that if a man has long hair, he is sinning. So why do they still allow people to draw Jesus with long hair? Either the Christians, the Bible, or both are lying.

I am reading a book set in Kent,England,in the year 1684. And in it,is a couple of religions,called Jacobite,and Huguenot. Is Huguenot something like Amish? Or Quaker? All I know is that it was a strict one,not Catholic,or Baptist. I have never heard of them,so I'm asking. Forgive my ignorance,ok,for those who are in the know.

I live in So. Cal., so here is where they are the worst. It makes my life miserable. None of them speak English, have car insurance, Illegal aliens murder 12 Americans daily, and are trash trash trash. They are ABOVE ALL, CRIMINALS. And, by the way, a drunk illegal immigrant who spoke no English ran into my car in the middle of the night. It was parked.

I can't believe that the government isn't doing anything about this epidemic. They need to be stopped and anyone who disagrees dosen't have to live with those vile people.

The Minute Men should be put in charge of ridding the country of this sickness... by ANY MEANS necessary... and I mean any means.

Everyone I know from Sweden/Denmark has either blond or light brown hair. I also know that Scandinavians have a reputation for having very light complections. But, are there any dark haired people in the area? Very little?
