A blonde suspects her boyfriend of cheating on her, so she goes out and buys a gun. She goes to his apartment unexpectedly and when she opens the door she finds him in the arms of a redhead.

Well, the blonde is really angry. She opens her purse to take out the gun, and as she does so, she is overcome with grief. She takes the gun and puts it to her head.

The boyfriend yells, "No, honey, don't do it."

The blonde replies, "Shut up, you're next!"

If science and faith could finally mate and give birth to a brave new future, what would it smell like?
That was exactly the sort of question I never cared to answer when I was twenty four. When you're a young and enthusiastic sucker, confident that the world is yours to shake and reshape, you don't really stop to brood over such kooky stuff. Do you?
It was also, quite unfortunately, the sort of question whose answer I was doomed to find anyway.
So now, as I sit to write the whole thing down, hopping I'd have enough time to finish this task, I realize that true wisdom and a full understanding of life are not to be achieved by seeking them deliberately, but by having them unexpectedly thrown upon you if you were really unlucky.

It all started late on a balmy summer's evening, a few hours before the events that led to the destruction of the world began. I had just arrived at the city of Lundda. Word has it that if you hadn't been to Lundda you hadn't seen a thing--(cont.below)

was profound and life changing.

Example, I watched a DVD about the "Bait of Satan". It talked about offenses and how that can be a snare or a trap for Christians. How subtle the enemy is with offenses. Scripture says that a righteous man can never be offended yet offenses can be mingled into our lives. This was life changing for me.

It just seems that if a woman perfers another woman sexually, why wouldn't she want her to look like a woman? If your going to date someone that looks like a man, it might as well have a penis.

A. Believing you are righteous and therefore superior to everyone else?
B. Believing that God talks to you and provides you with all the information you need to know therefore making you smarter than anyone else?
C. Believing the Bible clearly tells you how to live your life so that you won't have to figure it out on your own?
D. Believing that good deeds won't get you into heaven only salvation so therefore you don't have to make any positive contributions to the world?
E. Believing that you will go to a glorious heaven after death so that you don't have to fear death or worry about what might happen to you after death?
F. All of the above?

Quote from a religionist: "We just dont believe science counts the years properly."

Throughout the Bible the word days is used in reference to years
and so is the word week.

Sometimes day refers to an unspecified amount of time.

Scientists count years using 365.25 24 hour days per year.

Who counts properly again?

Consider these lyrics: Before I sink, Into the big sleep, I want to hear... The scream of the butterfly.

In Morrisons time, we didnt yet know that Butterflys actually scream and that you can better hear this scream when your sleepy.

Furthermore, look at this:

What have they done to the earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down

All before global warming! How could he have known!

He must have been the final and last of the final prophets.

Peace be upon Prophet Morrison.

PS - Jim didnt own any slaves or marry and 9 yr olds or lead 26 battles or war or write a long book full of hatred and violence for unbelievers.

I'm trying to define the term that can be used when describing someone who isn't of "the masses". We tend to view "the masses" {rightly or wrongly} as the general populace, aka sheep. They don't think for themselves, and anything that is not of "the norm" is generally shunned. If anyone would have a good term, to describe someone who is "different" from the masses, either they are enlightened, or are recognized as having unique views that don't fit with the general populace, etc. Some who stands out "in the crowd", etc... Hope this makes sense.

It really freaks me out how in the past decade, the United States have been getting closer to a theocracy. It is a country where you can only get elected as senator or president if you go to church. It is a country that has never had an Atheist representative. If you look at it, USA is goint through a similar process to Iran. The United States have the biggest amount of weapons of mass destruction in the world and is getting very ethnocentric while Iran is already ethnocentric and is trying to get weapons of mass destruction. There are christian fundamentalists that even think you are a bad person or that you are not god enough just because you are not american. I don't know, as a non-american, it freaks me out.
