I do not have any LED Christmas lights, but I really like the displays that use them. I have read that the light is determined by the LED's chip rather than the plastic lens, Christmas lights of this type and do not suffer from color fading. In addition, the plastic lens is much more durable than the glass envelope of incandescent bulbs. Not only do LEDs use much less electricity and have a much greater lifespan than incandescent lamps but since they are constructed from solid state materials, and have no metallic filaments to burn out or break, LEDs also are much less susceptible to breakage due to impact or rough handling.

I didn't but wish I could still find them, they went fast around here, couldn't find them anywhere. Hope to get some next year to help keep the Elec bill down. I had lights that had two colors to each bulb, which was neat from a distance to see, made it look like more lights were up than actually were. I got them at WalMart.

Dr. : I purchased a couple of sets of outdoor LED lights in both, colours of blue and red. I like the strong glow from them. They use far less electricity than the conventional type; therefore, they can remain "on" for a longer extension of time. I really like the blue coloured LEDs. I plan on purchasing more for the exterior of my residence and for decorating the Christmas tree, next year. The lights now, come available in multi-coloured LED "strings". Happy 2007 to you, Doc. !!!
