What do you think is a good gift for an aspiring musical artist?

Is there a polite way to avoid the "kissing cheeks when meeting people" thing? I've lived in Europe for seven years and just moved to Canada where people still do it, even though I can see that some are not comfy with it. Can I make it into a joke, like "I can see you don't want to kiss me either" or is that too rude? I just don't see the point when a handshake or smile will do, but I don't want to be rude either. I'm not Kelly Ripa but it IS cold and flu season!

People worry to much about there image, when it should be what is inside that counts not what is on the outside, why do we live in a world were we always judge and never take the time to look listen and learn.

My situation is I'm out with everyone except my family which is my sister, brother and mum. I'm not close to any of them. My sister will be surprised and might find it a bit strange but isn't gonna be too bothered about it. She might not really take me seriously though. My brother will just want me to shutup about my sex life and won't really give a sh*t. My mum is really religious and of the "gays are child molesting perverts" leaning but will eventually get over it based on history.
I'm 19, live at home, can't afford to leave for a while at least, single. It's not urgent to do it now but I'd rather get it over with.
I have no idea of the best way to do it, except that telling my sister first will mean I'll have someone backing me up against my mum.
Is it better to wait till I'm seeing someone, till I've left home, when they're in a good mood, or a bad mood and already pissed off? Should I hint about it first?

In general or majority of humans has conscience and feeling. They will keep themselves within their own personal laws or general rules so as not to harm or hurt others and even animals including nature. But not the living creatures in the animal world. Is this due to lack of speech valcaburally or feelings. If God is believed then we know there is the difference. Humans are created in His nature and likeness. What's more He breathed into Adam life or living bible so that humans descending from Adam can behave or learn to behave like God. If the account of the fall is believed, then we can understand why we need to learn to behave like God. Humans of most ethnic groupings produce great philosophers who would write books to educate or show others the way to live to attain peace, love and harmony. Those who lead others to commit harms and wreak destruction of establishments could be influenced by the devil who succeeded in tempting Adam and Eve to sin. Humans in God's likeness and image.
