It is true that they must not be charged interest on any loan, including a mortgage. In reality the price of things are lifted higher to counteract that difference. Banks make profits whether they belong to Muslims or Infidels.

Yes, it is true to charge a fellow muslim interest.... but sadly there are no Islamic countries in the world today. No country practices true Sharia, or Islamic Law..therefore interest is found in countries that you may believe as "islamic countries"...Islam states interest is haram, or sinful, however i don't believe any countries practice this.
Hope i Helped!!
Good Luck!

not true. mortgages in islamic countries are done in islamic way but there still a marked up price for the buyer. there will be a deal in which a buyer will pay a certain increase in price but the different of amount is not called interest.

If Islamic worldwide places are not permitting everyone to prepare freedom of religion, then they are actually not stable muslims. The Quran states which you will prepare what he needs, for at judgement day you is in basic terms not allowed into heaven in case you do not prepare the classes of Muhammed.

Mortgage is just a name - so getting around it is easy - just call it something else.
That way of doing is very common all over the world.
