Come on, get it out of your system. You know you want to. I can just see your fingers twitching on your keyboards. However, I will eventually make up my own mind, and the devil take me.

I have been a Born-Again Christian for the last 20 years. I have now arrived at the point where none of it makes any sense at all and I am considering adopting atheism. It will be difficult to tell my immediate friends and family but I feel that the time is right for me to grow up and accept the reality of life and death. Your views?

Look at what Jesus did. Meditate for a moment on it. Now, Would you only be willing to die for someone you love and not for your enemies if you love God?Anyone would die for their children if they have a heart. Answer this test question seriously. God is listening.

I like the uniformity of using all capital letters. Why is this rude? And, who made that decision for all of us? I recently used yahoo to ask a question written all in caps the way I like, and they said I was rude... WHAT?????????

I am feeling a little guilty, and I want to find out if I am a bigot. My best friend is gay, but I barely made it through Brokeback Mountain tonight b/c of the graphic man on man scenes. I have known my friend for five years, but I have never seen him do anything besides a casual kiss. The media seems to want us all to feel perfectly comfortable with homosexual sex, but I just don't want to watch it (I don't care what they do as long as I don't see it). Also, should I mention this aversion to my friend?

Oh, of course I have the total double standard, and I don't mind watching women go at it.

My girlfriend and I were talking about Jesus. It came to a point that we realized that we had been taught two completeley different stories about Jesus' childhood. I had always read in the bible that Joseph fled with Mary to Egypt with Jesus until Herod was dead. However, my girlfriend had been taught that Mary and Joseph had put Jesus in a basket and sent him down a river. And that someone had found him and raised him.

Now I was raised in a Catholic family with fairly strict Catholic beliefs. She was raised in a traditonal Christan family and attended a Christan daycare for six years. Is it possible that there is a different version of the bible out there with different teachings regarding Jesus' childhood? Or, are there any other stories in the bible that one of us may have gotten confused with what we had been taught?

Its a self evident truth that one added to one makes one-one, or 11. How could anyone in their right mind think otherwise? How could I possibly be wrong? And what ever made people think that 1+1=2? Its like saying that an apple plus an apple makes an orange, which has been proven experimentally to be false.

This is how creationist science and logic sounds to me. Then again, I bet it is how I sound to creationists. Meditate on this, and the futility of using human brains to try to fully comprehend a universe that is so much larger than yourself.

3 weeks ago I dreamed that I seen a tiny little white mouse, and it was running around. So I went to follow it. I ran into some sort of box. So I opened the box, and the white mouse was gone, and a lot of black mice came out.
So I woke up and thought that was a weird dream...

Today I dreamed about something that I believe might have a connection to the first dream.
I dreamed that I saw a dead cat, and I went to pick it up. I turn it around, there is a lot of white worms and one black worm, and the white worms were eating the black one.

What can this possibly mean? If I would think about worms and then later dream about it, then I wouldnt find so weird. But I never actually thought about the worms or the mice, yet I had these dreams.

Any answers would be highly appreciated!!

that "miracles" performed by regular people are done because that person is just a good person and not because some deity told them to? I don't need anybody else, least of all some nonexistant deity, to tell me what's right or wrong. I call that common sense, common courtesy, and common respect, all of which are quite uncommon, aren't they?
