This is a very hard question to answer unless I am faced with the situation and then I would have to know by the grace of God that it is His will. At this time I am still raising the younger of my children and hope I would not have to face a situation like this anytime soon. I don't think God is only going to give blessings to those who answer correctly, because there really is no correct or incorrect answer here.

To die for someone you love such as a sister, husband, or one of my children would be something that would more than likely give me glory. People would think about me and say how good and unselfish I must have been to do that. But if I died for my enemy the people who know me best would know that I did it because I love God enough to love every person that walks this earth the way God loves them, and that I was just as willing to die for someone who hates me as I would be to die for those who love me, and no one could get the glory from that unselfish act but God! I hope someone understands that, but even if you don't I know God does.

Yes, for someone I love. As for an enemy I had to think on that one...I came to the conclusion that I would do the same for an enemy or complete stranger. If I was put in that situation I can honestly say, with God listening, that I would sacrifice myself so they might live. I mean in an emergency situation you don't really care what they believe, you just want to help anyway you can.

God does not require us to die for him, One will try and save the life of there child because that child holds there heart in its hands, Only a true zealot would be able to die for a person that had ,, oh say killed that zealots child. But in my experience, true zealots don't have kids. I believe that its not important on how well you believe in god, or how much you are willing to sacrifice for your beliefs, its what you Carry in your heart, how you make the day to day choices that lead you through life, and how those choices affect the people around you, thats what god will be looking at.

WOW.. That's a good question...Probably one of the better ones that I've heard tonite... I don't have any real enemies in life at this time... I would risk my life to try and save another, especially if it was a child... But I would say No... I don't think I would give my life up for a stranger that I didn't know... Jesus Christ was a man of great Love & Compassion... He could do it because he was a better man than any before him and any after his death...But what would you espect from the son of God...

You are really not the arbiter of God's blessings.
I would be a little more careful if I were you. Only one has the power to mete out the blessings of God, and that is God himself.
To answer your question, then: Not on my own power. If God gave me the strength, then yes.
P.S.: The only correct "answer" in God's eyes is a humble heart that loves him and seeks his will.

As a matter of fact I try to avoid such generalizations, you know why? Because in a conversations we are all saints and we all would is right to do, but when the day comes, when it comes to actions, all bravery just disappears.
So yeah, in theory I would die for my family and if I believe in their righteousness and ideas, I would die for my enemies as well!
.... But then again, it is so easy to talk and so difficult to react adequately when the situation requires it.
Would you?

If we are truly striving to become Christ-like, (Christians) we would almost have to be willing. But in my heart, I don't know if I would trust myself to make the correct decision. Because I am human and we are programmed with the self-preservation instinct. Hypothetically, yes. In real life, hard to say which way I would choose. Just being honest.
