Its a self evident truth that one added to one makes one-one, or 11. How could anyone in their right mind think otherwise? How could I possibly be wrong? And what ever made people think that 1+1=2? Its like saying that an apple plus an apple makes an orange, which has been proven experimentally to be false.
This is how creationist science and logic sounds to me. Then again, I bet it is how I sound to creationists. Meditate on this, and the futility of using human brains to try to fully comprehend a universe that is so much larger than yourself.

Sigh. I know 1+1=2. I was really asking a totally different, deep and existential question about how people understand the universe that didn't even need an answer. Apparently my brain is simply too much for Yahoo and I need to go to bed.
AND THIS IS WHAT I AM LIKE WITHOUT CAFFEINE!!!

At least Neon understood my argument well enough to think I was an idiot. I'm against evangelicism, I'm not pro-Bible-flushing you fool!

Hmm, never realized that, that is very thought provoking.
But you know no apples are the same anyway. But at the same time an apple can be similar to an orange, and so can anything on Earth human and cat. But is anything like God? so isn't he really 1. And so doesn't that mean that there is no such thing as 2, 3,4, 5 since nothing is exactly the same thus you can't progress on the number line?
But I don't know about creationist science, only evolution, I'll look it up. I don't believe that evolution contradicts religion though. Not sure what your stance is. But again you number question was very thought provoking.

1+1=2 but, 1 and 1 = 11. so 1 and 2 =12.
+ "plus" in mathematics doesn't mean "and" all the time in the language.
how about in Christianity 1+1+1=1 meaning 1 God =(3 in 1) ,
also >>>>>>>>>1 and 1 and 1 = 111
I like your last sentance >>>>
<>.
I would like someone to explain to me the christians claim that God who created this univers larger than ourself (beside other creation that we don't know) came in the flesh?
note: 1+ 1+ 1 = 3

1 and 1 is 11, 1 plus 1 is 2. no its not saying an apple plus and apple equals an orange, is is saying an apple plus an apple equals 2 apples. in the number value sense, 1 + 1 = 2, but in a visual sense, 1 + or & 1 = 11.

I think that 1+1 could equal 11 in a visual sense...
as to your question... if you have one and one, you have two. If you have a ball in your right hand AND a ball in your left hand, you have TWO balls, not 11.
