Book of Judges, chapter 9
8: The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.
9: But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
10: And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us.
11: But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?
12: Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us.

Considering the fact that the universe is so vast it is much more likely that we are not the only form of life in the universe. SOWhat kind of impact would the discovery of extraterrestrial life have on religions? why do religious people have not asnwered to this question yet? I found out a few weeks ago that My friend's friend said "I was cute" and that she was coming to my college to visit from Vermont to RI... and to my surprise we flirted and she slept in my bed and made out most of the night...(we didn't have sex)..and she said she was going to make her ex-boyfriend jealous(she's bi)... I don't know if she was using me or really interested in me...what do you think?

She kept on saying that she didnt want to leave and thatn she wants me to visit and such.. is that just her saying that or did she mean it? I think she meant it, but the whole making her ex jealous thing is getting to me... i mean, im single and like other girls, and seeing other girls, but i dont like the feeling of being used, and im not using her either...i dunno... Help?

I was a disbeliever myself for 25 years, i would ridicule believers as crackpots who believe in things that were not proven, then I experienced the supernatural, and from there its not even about belief, because I KNOW something is here. This completely contradicts everything they say about Israeli soldiers killing people randomly. They know Israeli soldiers do not shoot women, that is why they use them as shields.

If religions are faith based, for example like the gods of old still have there little sects and secret worshipping rituals and faith groups, what would happen if nobody worshipped them anymore?

Instead of saying it will be constant fire burning you and your teeth chattering and so on, if it were described as something more fathomable, such as "you'll be stuck in a prison that you can't get out of and you'll be sick and severely depressed."

For me, the latter sounds scarier, perhaps because I can actually imagine what that would be like.

Ever since my father won an owl for me at a carnival when i was a litle girl, i have felt drawn to them. I collect them, wear them as jewellery and even have the odd dream about one. The one in my dream was pure white, and he had the bluest of eyes.

He looked at me in the dream and said; "i love you". I'll never forget it.

You don't know the history of psychiatry. I do. When you talk about emotional, chemical imbalances in people, there is no science behind that. I have a long lost friend from 4th grade and I helped get her out of a abusive home and when they took her from the home I couldnt find her anymore. I seen how she got a speeding ticket in the paper the other night and how she is now in Pana when the last I knew she was in Assumption but when i had found her she had already moved.
