Peter says, “For you have been born again not of seed that is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring Word of God. For, 'All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls off, but the Word of the Lord endures forever.' This is the Word which was preached to you.” 1 Peter 1:23-25

This all my search came up with. Maybe someone else can give you much better.

I tried.

You might like to add the Corinthians passage to your passage from the Pauline Epistle.

The Scriptures are "things of the Spirit". People can understand enough of the Scriptures to find Salvation, unless they prefer to spurn.

But when a person is "born again" the Holy Spirit takes up residence within the individual. Since it was the Spirit who gave the Scripture, also the Spirit can make the Scriptures come alive. [Unfortunately it is not an instantaneous change, it is a growth.]

I Corinthians 2:14
Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

John 3
5 Jesus answered: Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Lucky for you 1 Peter and 2 Peter add up to only 8 chapters. If you don't get the answer from here, it won't talk awful long to find it.

Both, Peter 1 talks about accepting Jesus and Peter 2 warns you of false prophets and such.

I think thats where it says once you have recieved God as your Savior and have your Salvation your eyes and mind are opened up to the meanings of the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit. You'll be able to understand what it is saying when your heart is with Jesus.

You have to be specific, but what happens is after you are born again the Holy Spirit comes to dwell at the center of your being to give you spiritual help.
