for one thing, it wouldn't be ignoring other english dialects such as spanglish, Singlish, Boston English, ebonics and so many other things that influenced American English.

There can't be a standard English because English is CONSTANTLY influenced. Old english was influenced by Anglo-saxons. Then middle english was influenced by Normans. Finally, Modern english was influenced by both Anglo-saxons, Normans and other languages.

Would making English a offical language contradict the freedoms of America? The freedom to speak what language you want in your personal life? Not business life.

She is making Halloween hell tonight for the kids enjoyment. She is miserable with her life and takes it out on everyone else. I really despise her and tried praying for her. I usually end up SAD and CRYING over her behavior ~ not comprehending how someone can be so cruel to kids. What can I do?

all there is up there is sky sky sky and more sky people expect us to think god is real just because they say so, if i was to make up a story now and tell my children by the time they tell their children theres a chance they cud think its true when in fact i made it up!!! just the same as whats happened witht eh bible its been gradually over exaggeurated over the thousands of years, people you are worshoping something that has no existance.

I heard that Jews are not allowed to drive to Synagogue on sabath, my question is what happens if a Jewish person lives to far from the Synagogue to walk? can he take a bus or tram or is that the same as driving? if I heard wrong and Jews can drive to synagogue on sabath, I apologise and just ignore this question.

I'm more of a wall flower I guess. I just am not a people person and don't like to get out and socailize. I can do small talk, ie."Hi, how are you ect. But that's all I want! My therapist said if I was ok with it, that's what matters. That all people are NOT created equal. LOL!
