no why would they be. even if you do accidently break them god will still forgive you your not hurting anyone but your self but that doesn't mean you should EVER try breaking your vows and oaths to god.

Yes you are right, and the person who says that don't worry about it God will just forgive you if you break it is highly mistaken.
Eccl 5:4 When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow! 5 It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay. 6 Do not let your speech cause you to sin and do not say in the presence of the messenger of God that it was a mistake. Why should God be angry on account of your voice and destroy the work of your hands?

We are advised not to do so......
"Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your 'Yes ' be 'Yes,' and your 'No ,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one" (Matthew 5:33-37).
"When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it. Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, "My vow was a mistake." Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands?" (Ecclesiastes 5:4-6).

no they are not dangerous to god, nor are they dangerous to make especially so if it is followed through with right intent(which is seen as a beloved thing) from which positive change always occurs. Even when they are made in ignorance or not made with right intent neither followed through it is not dangerous as our dear father is ever forgiving and knows all, what was is and will be;heed warning though for once ignorance is commited in such a manner, it is easy for that ingorance to spread which is the only danger, as you will be distancing your self on your own accord (free will).

GOD use to Wink at some Things, later, GOD got more Serious with us.
GOD is Merciful.
The Closer you Get to GOD, the More HE takes you Seriously, and Deals Thusly with you.
Would you get mad at one of your Kids if he,she made a Promise and Smite them if they didn't come Through with it?
No, you wouldn't.
But when that Kid grows Up and becomes a Mature Adult THEN promises you something? Well?
GOD is alot like Us, Wonder Why?

We will all give an account of what we have spoken and how it was spoken. The air we breath to speak the words belongs to Him.At any time God has the right to say that's enough of my air.Yet Gog and His mercy endures forever. But it is not to be taken for granted neither.
