Don't you people know how throughly debunked all that stuff is? All the crap from the Discovery Institute and other "Christian" think-tanks has been proven to be nothing more than "junk" science.
Is it the same reason that they still believe in a 2000 year old book of fables?

Or anyone that got their physical bodies 'stolen' while astral travelling?

Are these merely myths or can it really happen?

(I don't really believe in demons, but I do sometimes)

I never could understand why some family members, think they are better than others, when you all have the same blood, running through your veins. Regardless of what you have accomplished out of life, it doesn't give you the right, to look down on others.

Religion, Spirituality & Atheism?

2006-10-28 10:46:31 · 15 answers · asked by Johnny 3 in Religion & Spirituality

When I was a kid, I remember maybe 1 or 2 houses per neighborhood decorated like haunted houses. Now it seems like they are everywhere I look! Do people see Halloween as the new Christmas, as far as decorating is concerned? Is it falling into the commercialism of the season as well? Or is that all it ever was?

It also seems like it used to be a day for only the kids to dress up & have fun, now it seems more adults are getting into the action & dressing up in costumes and partying more than kids are. Hmmm.. Why is that?

Hitler co-opted Christian concepts though he was not a Christian, even by his own admission. His aim was to replace Christianity in one generation by German pagan practices in the churches in the name of "National Socialism" and a new "Twelve commandments" one of which pledged allegiance to himself as the Fuehrer. To this end he attempted the reverse of what the Church earlier did with pagan festivals, he tried to celebrate Teutonic festivals in the churches in the place of Christian festivals. Thus Christmas became a celebration of the "bearer of light", Easter a celebration of the goddess Ostara, etc. When the Russians were closing in, he chose to commit suicide on a Satanic high day, Walpurgis night, the "other" Halloween, April 30th, hoping to be reincarnated again. (Anton La Vey also chose the same day to found the church of Satan). All 4 of his mistresses tried to commit suicide, 2 actually succeeded.

Hitler founded far more than a political regime - the Third Reich was an Occult-based Order using Magical and Esoteric practices. Everything which defined the Nazi Party was Magical. From the Swastika to the Order of the SS, all elements were driven by Esoteric teachings. Inspired by the occult writings of Madame Blavatsky, Eliphas Levi, Nostradamus and John Dee to name but a few, along with the magical elements contained within the music of Richard Wagner and Wolfgang Mozart, the Third Reich sought to usher in a New World Order through overwhelming physical strength and might. This was their divine mission. In the eyes of the Third Reich, it was time for the world to change.

Even at the age of fifteen years old, Hitler was convinced he was the One to lead humanity into a new world....
He had just finished listening to Wagner's Rienzie play with his childhood friend, Gustl Kubizek. Kubizek watched with horror as a being began speaking out of Hitler's mouth in a most unusual voice. This voice began speaking visions of how Hitler was going to change European history, that one day, he would receive a Mandate from his people to lead them "from servitude to the heights of freedom, a special mission which would one day be entrusted to him." Though the realization of this vision would not be fulfilled for many years, this vision came remarkably true. Against all odds, Hitler climbed to the pinnacle of power in Germany, backed by Magical Powers.

Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party came to power in 1933. Most occult leaders believed Hitler was The Great One. The Nazi sacred symbols and concepts of the swastika or "gamma cross", the eagle, the red/black/white color scheme, and ancient Nordic runes (one of which became the insignia of the SS), were all adopted from esoteric traditions going back centuries, shared by Brahmins, Scottish Masons, Rosicrucians, the Knights Templars and other esoteric societies. The Nazi motto, "One Reich, One Folk, One Fuehrer", reflected the standard threefold power circles of the occult. The Reich was the psychic adepts of the Nazi Party, which would build the bridge between the Folk (the masses which unite into a cosmic Entity greater than its parts) and the Fuehrer (the initiates in the elite leadership which unite with Hitler, the divine incarnation). The outer fringe, the Folk, are taught what they can handle: blind obedience, group service, a new history and identity. The Party elite such as the SS are taught something different: psychic knowledge, tapping into the "Vril Force", self-denial, brotherhood mission, medieval lore, fearlessness of death.

Simply put Hitler was more likely to be called an occultist than a Christian. He channeled spirits in elaborate occult ceremonies. What was even more amazing was that he and his aides listened to Muslim imams and Jew-haters like Haji Al Husseini in exterminating a large number of Jews in ovens. in one case Haji Al Husseini, uncle of Arafat even succeeded in cancelling he exchange of 5000 Jewish children for German prisoners of war, having them burt in ovens instead by the Nazis. It was a classic case of radical Islam and the occult acting together in concert.

1) School sponsored prayer was banned from schools; divorce rates and teen pregnancies went up; in other words, banning school sponsored prayer resulted in an increase in divorce rates and teen pregnancies.
2) Communism endorses atheism and Communism has resulted in the death of millions—governments that embrace atheism are wicked and will inevitably result in untold deaths of innocent people.
3) Statistically, the lower a person’s IQ and the less educated he or she is, the more likely that person is to be a fundamentalist. Fundamentalists are unintelligent and are not adequately educated.

1. Evolution is even lab tested with fruit flies in Berkeley University and around the world.
2. Fossil records of humanids and animals evolving throughout history (fossils are like snapshots in time).
3. DNA sequencing proving that we are indeed from earlier apes (not modern apes like some Christians like to play with but once again don't know anything about science).
4. People and animals evolving still today.
5. Neanderthal man, Lucy, etc.
You can't have any more proof than these unless you were able to live forever from the beginning and witness the events yourself. Now can you show us your God in person? Some things you can never prove:
1. That a God exists.
2. That is it 'your' God.
3. That Nature isn't the creator alone.
4. That there is not more than one God.
Good luck...lol
Now please explain why you believe in the invisible God and not evolution.
