Next week is our "step up Sunday" at church and all the teens teach the Sunday school classes. I am teaching the 0-2 class. There are not many in this class. They are mostly around the age of 2. They love to do "hands on" things and love to be involved.

Just trying to get some ideas. I want to teach them something, but I want them to have alot of FUN doing it! =) Any ideas would be appreciated! =) Thanks

Christians often say that we can be saved, only by accepting Jesus as our savior. As evidence, they will site passages from the book of John, as well as many of the writings of Paul.

However, there is no support for such a doctrine in the book of Matthew. How is it that this central tenent of Christianity was overlooked by Matthew?

Also, what is this stuff about the Last Judgment? "I was hungry, and you fed me not", etc. Does this not suggest salvation by deeds, rather than by grace?

I understand that failure to do good works might call a Christian's sincerity into question, but what of a Muslim, or an Atheist for that matter, who does the deeds, but lacks Christian beliefs. If you want to say these people are still going to Hell, how does that square with the words Jesus uttered, regarding the Last Judgment?

To gay people:

I know full well gay men are born this way, and so on, but I always wondered: are *effeminate* gay men born this way, or is it something they learn by hanging around other men like this. I mean is that specific expression of gayness due to nature or nurture?

I was watching I belive the History chan. earlier today and they had a special on Hitler and the Occult and the show went on to mention how Hitler and the S.S. went on to shut down any and every organization that was at all believed to be occultic, gnostic, etc. I would be interested in knowing what some of the smaller less known and assumingly defunct groups were named. Maybe a quick overview if you know about any of them.

How did other humans come to be? If Adam and Eve only had sons, how did humans propagate. Does this mean that humans were products of incest?

Well I guess it wasnt funny for the people who were in church but it was for us. My friend and I opened the back door when everyone was quiet in prayer, and my friend blew an airhorn into the church. Half the people screamed out out and we ran off, falling down with laughter. Was that funny or what?

I asked christians why they nose their way into gay peoples lives, and the majority used the bible and wat it says about gay people as an excuse, well not everyone believs the bible is true so they shouldn't have to follow it right? well if christians are gonna use the bible as a weapon, then so am i, I emailed this to a few of the christ followers who pissed me off, and now I'm pasting it here for the rest of you to see.

LEVITICUS 11:9-12

'Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams, you may eat any that have fins and scales. 10 But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales—whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water—you are to detest. 11 And since you are to detest them, you must not eat their meat and you must detest their carcasses. 12 Anything living in the water that does not have fins and scales is to be detestable to you.

So both gayness and shrimp are evil....

They tell you that they are about to serve the body and blood of Jesus, and then they pass around plates of crackers and grape juice. What a lie. I have tried to make human flesh taste like crackers, and have had no success. Why would these "nice" people lie to us common folk?

My grandma makes this pie crust that is so buttery and flaky. It tastes exactly like the pieces of Christ they feed us in church. But I don't think that they really do serve any actual body parts. I think they are lying to me, and it's really just crackers, and grape juice. I just happened to see the ladies in the basement of the church putting crackers on plate like the communion plate, and filling little glasses up with grape juice. I didn't see what they did with them after that, but I am guessing they served them to us.

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religious, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ."--Patrick Henry

"I am a Christian, that is to say a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus."--Thomas Jefferson

"It is impossible to govern the world without God and the Bible. Of all the dispositions and habits that lead to political prosperity, our religion and morality are the indispensable supporters. Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that our national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle." --George Washington

"Oh, eternal and everlasting God, direct my thoughts, words and work. Wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the lamb and purge my heart by the Holy Spirit."

Most Muslims exist over seas in the reclusive and closed Islamic countries, but Muslims living in free countries are free to propagandize scared westerners.

Some Muslims in the west are something like the "fallen away agnosticish catholic" but because of silly pathetic ethnic pride (and fear), voracisously defend Islam.

To those very few Muslims who we might call "moderate" or "non-literalist", let me ask you, do you really think you do humanity a service by trying to apologize for the violent hate doctrines of Islam?

Seriously, have you ever though of dealing with the root problem itself?

Duane Morrison, Charles Carl Roberts and on and on. But I know of a guy who lived with a woman for two years, married her, had a kid then started an affair and left his wife and kid when she was one or two years old! He moved to Arizona with the woman, who was also married with kids. Am I the only one who finds this horribly awful?! Anyone can be tempted to cheat or even make the mistake, but they left their own kids and moved across the country!

Ok, I thought that you admitted you were a sinner, believed that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead, and you accepted him into your life.

But now it seems to me that people call my salvation into question over strange things. I believe in all the above, so aren't I a Christian? But some people act like I'm not a Christian because maybe I disagree on some little doctrine or something. For example, I believe other religions can go to heaven. Some people act like I'm not saved because I believe that.
But I thought to be saved, you had to do what I said above, and I have done that.

So, is there actually more to being saved than what I said? Do you also have to have the "right" view on every little doctrine?

With so many differences on doctrine, who is to say who is saved, then?

Doris from the knitting group said she was going start eating a Biblical diet. I was too embarrassed to ask what that meant, because everyone else, even Mary Beth, nodded in agreement. I don't know what that means, because I've never read a recipe in the Bible. I read the King James Version, so I don't really understand everything, but I know a recipe from a mile way. Well, I need to find out what Doris meant, because she is bringing her son over tomorrow afternoon to see the train set my husband built in the basement and I don't know what a Biblical diet is. Please advise, dear ladies.
