Christianity today has slipped drastically from what the Bible teaches. Many have coined this new christianity as "easy believism" and it is really only about 30 to 40 years old. What you quoted in your question is the perfect example of it. There is one essential to becoming a Christian that is left out in "easy believism" and also in your statement of your faith. Without it you cannot be saved. It is the Lordsip of Christ. Romans 10:9-10 is the clearest statement of salvation in the Bible and it says. "if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." The confession of Christ as Lord is what gives you salvation. That would cause people to think you have not accepted the Lordship of Christ. The Bible says, "12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." If you believe other religions can go to heaven you reject God's word and thus the Lordship of Christ. So people would be suspect of your salvation.
There is also no teaching in the Bible that you become a Christian by "accepting" Christ. That is a misquote of Revelation 3:20 which is not spoken to unbelievers, but to believers. To be saved you must turn to God and ask Him to accept you. You are not God or the one that decides, God must accept you in Jesus Christ. I hope this gives you some insight on this matter.

If you truly believe like you said in the first part-then you are a Christian according to the Bible. The Bible has more authority than any person or denomination or doctrine. If what you said is true then I believe you are a Christian. However---you must grow to maturity, just like in real life. You are like a baby-it takes time to grow. Now, you would not feed a baby poison to help it grow. Just the same, believing that people from other religions are going to heaven is like poison to your faith. Just like a young child is easily persuaded by what they see on TV and hear from other people, you, as a young Christian can be easily led away into a false religion. Be careful. try to find a conservative church that teaches the Bible as the Inspired Word of God. There it is safe to grow. Stay away from liberal churches that ordain Lesbians and Gays. I would also avoid the Catholic church. The Calvary Chapel is a very safe church to grow in. Then there are American and Southern Baptist and maybe Presbyterian-they may be a little strict for you to feel comfortable---but -get in a Conservative Christian church. Stay away from non-Christian religions.
If you are really serious, or if you want a specific answer about any church or denomination you can email me. I will be glad to help.

Well you just don't have to believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead you have to confess it with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and He died on the cross and he is alive. But you know people put so much emphasis on religion and it's not about religion it's about having a relationship with God the Father, The Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Now when you say that other religions can go to heaven, if they believe and served the only living true God and except His son Jesus well of course they can go to heaven. But some believe in God and not Jesus, (that's not going to work) the bible says that the only way you can come to the Father is by the Son, Jesus Christ. Now you said that you may not believe some of the doctrins, the Bible also says that we are not to take away from or add to the word of God. A lot of people say, the bible has changed down through the year, things have been left out, and that may be true. But God has control of everything that happen on this earth, nothing is done without his say so. So the Bible that we have now and everything that is in it, is what God wants to be in it, point black, plain and simple. I just want to leave this with you, I don't believe in God because somebody told me to. I believe in Him because I feel him everyday in my life, He is apart of me and I'm apart of Him. I know that he's real because he moves in my life on a daily basis. He's my everything, my savior, my deliever, my provider, my healer, my fortress, my protector. I hope that this helps you.

Even the devil believes that Jesus died and rose again. In order to be "saved" you have to accept him as your lord. That means reading and believing the bible and it's doctrines, although the interpretation of some petty things may differ from person to person. Overall being saved is accepting him as your savior, so that God can look past your sin when you are being judged. You were born a sinner, but since Jesus died for you, if you accept that and follow him, God sees past your sin and you go to heaven. If those other religions are not accepting Jesus, son of the Only God, they are not going to heaven.

Open your Bible at Romans 10:9, did you do that?
Do you Believe what you said with all that is in you? Like missing Hell Depended on Believing it?
Then Open your Bible at 1John 4:1,2,3-------do you Confess that Jesus Christ came to the Earth in the Flesh (Human Body)?
If you Believe that Jesus (the Creator) was Born on this Earth (came in the Flesh) with all of your Heart (no Doubt), then YOU just Tested yourself for the Right Spirit (Holy Spirit).
If you Passed the Test, Yep, your a Christian (Born-Again Child of GOD).
Now you can Rest Assured Heaven is your Home through what Jesus did on the Cross for you.
And tell the Devil, who works through Others(or your Own Mind) to give you Doubts about your Salvation to Go back to Hell and Leave you Alone in the Name of Jesus.
Just tell the Devil "I AM a Child of GOD"-----Jesus is Lord.
And Jesus will help you Figure out Everything else (doctrines of other churches) later on as you Grow in the Lord.
Peace Sis.

You are right. That's all you have to do to be saved. Whether you believe as other do on other matters is of no matter when it comes to Salvation. What you and maybe others you are talking to possibly need is to go to some Bible study classes and discuss some of the things you mentioned. The Bible is what God has given us as a guide for life and death. God doesn't change His mind about anything, ever... If it's in the Bible, it is absolutely true. Jesus did use a lot of parables as lessons to us about different things. Many try and use this as a way to disprove the Bible but it never ever works. Like I said at the first, you are absolutely right about your Salvation. God Bless.

I would not say that you are not saved because you do not understand that Jesus is the only way to God. I would encourage you, however, to begin to study the bible. Because God says for us to "have an answer for every man for the hope that is within us". I think it's not only important to know Jesus as savior, it's important that we know the word of God. Why? Because it is how we should live our lives. It is of utmost importance that you know that Jesus made the statement, recorded in John 14:6, that there is no other way to the Father, than by Him. You want to be certain, when speaking to others, that you do not misrepresent God's word.
Please find a good bible teaching church and learn about the Lord and His promises.

1. No. There is no other way to be saved. You have a thinking mind, do you not?
2. You know very well who has the final say on who is saved and who is not. Also, you should know by now that even though there is a restricted residence applicant list to get into the place where there is no love, light, and peace; people will still try to kick the gates in.

You are right and that is all you need to be saved. Satan will bring people into your life in order to make you doubt your faith. Write down the date you trusted in Jesus to look over and every time someone tries to make you doubt you will have that as your back up.
Remember we are all sinners and no one was perfect except Jesus. You will be in conflict with you sinful nature, but as long as you stay strong in your faith and ask Jesus to help you daily with the fight, you will get stronger in your faith and will make it harder for Satan to attack you. Look at James1:2-4. These verses should really help you and will hopefully bring you peace and joy. Satan wants you to not be a witness for Christ. Can you share the love of Christ if you don't believe you are saved? Take heart because Satan only attacks those who can, will, or are threatening his foot hold in this world.
You are now and forever a child of the risen Lord. No one can take you out of his hands.

You are still saved dear. I went through the same thing. With all the different people's advice that comes your way after you are saved, it can really be confusing. My mother-in-law was the worst and still is about people be from one religion or the other and is very opinionated on that and many subjects! I feel that God doesn't care about what religion , just that we know the truth and follow it.
