i need your guys help. i believe in god but im young and i dont really understand the bible when it says let heaven be as it is on earth. ive been trying to understand it but i cant make heads or tails of it. it says that heaven is the perfect paradise, but it says its also the same as earth. earth is no such paradise (its a perfect example of the old saying "this place is great if you get rid of all the people.") there is so much killing, hate, pain, suffering, genocide, and just plain general bad (for lack of a better word) stuff going on here.if heavan is like this man i dont want do spend all of forever there

Someone asked in here if you feared muslims. My answer was: No don't fear muslims, just dont trust the radical ones. 911 HELLO. and they have a doctrine to kill the infidels(nonmuslims) Is this a wrong answer?

Because thats what happened 2000 years ago, a group of guys who had visions, said that they put gods exact words into the bible. Cmon, how realistic does that sound? These are the same people who burned witches, thought the world was flat, and said kings were direct desendants of god. not to mention crusaded around murdering millions while warshiping severed heads and spitting on crosses. I was was to meet anyone today that said they have clear audible conversations with god, i would think they were nuts. People were so ignorant and crazy back them, i cant hardly trust my restaurant server, let alone a bunch of guys who had vision and talked to god 2000 years ago. anyone feel the same way?

The prologue: OK, we have many people coming here and asking or debating on whether we are born gay or we made a choice.
Not all of them are bigots, some people didnt have the opportunity to ask someone or get educated. And most of them back their comments (of it being a choice) using the "researches" of psychologists and scientists.
The question: Isn't it obvious that these "psychologists" have their own agendas? I mean, when you start a research it is going to head one way if you are biased in the first place. I am pretty sure that they start their research thinking: "OK, I think it is a choice so I will try to prove it". And obviously you can interpret the results according to your opinion and not the facts. I am sure that they dont start with the "lets see what makes someone gay" mentality.
What do you think?

I am 19 and deaf. I recently graduated from high school. I got made fun of a lot in school and it hurt really badly. I dont like to let people know i am deaf bc they always makes snickers and say mean things. I went deaf when i was about 14. Everyone was so mean to me and i couldnt stand it. I wish they wouldnt have been so mean. I have great speach and i got good grades in school. So why do people have to be mean to me why cant they just be nice and friendly??

I've done it before i think. I was sitting there and all of a sudden the needle i was staring at just jumped a little. I dont know how i did it but i tried it on other stuff and it didn't really work. So i was wondering how i could futher this ability? Any comments, thoughts, or tips? (And please people, i dont want anything like "You believe in this stuff?" or "Wow, this was a stupid question!" People, of course i believe in the stuff. And if it's such a stupid question then why are you even researching the topic.

A little Christian humor for a change
Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly, God was tired of hearing all the bickering.
Finally fed up, God said, "THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job."
So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.
They mouse.
They faxed.
They e-mailed.
They e-mailed with attachments.
They downloaded.
They did spreadsheets!
They wrote reports.
They created labels and cards.
They created charts and graphs.
They did some genealogy reports.
They did every job known to man.
Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell.
Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the power went off.
Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld.
Jesus just sighed. Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers.
Satan started searching frantically, screaming:
"It's gone! It's all GONE! "I lost everything when the power went out!"
Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work.
Satan observed this and became irate. "Wait!" he screamed. "That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don't have any?"
God just shrugged and said,
"JESUS SAVES."

It's very wrong! According to statistics Russians are not the most alcohol-consuming nation in the world, but only 4th or 6th. (Finland is 1st) I am Russian and i have never even tried vodka, i never drink, i have lots of russian friends who are just like me.
I just read a question where a guy was mocking a romantic letter a russian girl wrote to him and someone said that vodka induced it. This is so mean, I feel offended.
Vodka is even a polish word.

this big problem with veils in britain?, i travel to thailand quite a lot and when i visit a temple or religious place etc i have to dress appropriate which doesent bother me because im in someone elses country and i respect their way of life and would not want to insult them hence the saying when in rome do as the romans do!, if you went in to someones house and they did`nt want you to smoke, you would`nt if you had some respect, true? or am i just to polite???
