People in school are mean anyway. I think they tend to pick out the "weak" pray so to speak. Such as the fat kid, the geeky kid, kids with disablity, and so on and so forth. Why do they do it? Because putting someone down makes them feel more superior. Then it becomes a sheep game of other people following along so they can look cool making fun of someone.
Try not to let peoples ignorence get you down. You should be very proud of yourself. It hurt to be made fun of but it didn't stop you from getting your education. You graduated and I bet if you thought of all the people who had picked on you, at least one probably wasn't even able to graduate or maybe dropped out. Some day you'll go out for fast food and there they will be "can I take your order"? Because they wasted their time picking on people instead of learning. Then you can have your own little laugh!
P.S. No offence to anyone who works fast food, some of those people are loosers, you have to agree.

People are ignorant. Especially the people who have done those things to you. I work with people who have disabilities or impairments. People who are not used to that are afraid of what they don't understand. The first reaction for people is laughing because they are uncomfortable. Making fun of you makes them feel better for acting like an azz hole. Being nice and friendly well that isn't something teenagers are used to doing. Teens are cruel and teasing is what they do boast there own selves. In reality there self esteem in lower then trash only way they can make themselves feel better is raggin on someone else. Your too good to be worried about those jokers or anyone else who acts lame like that. Real friends won't care that your deaf and treat you like the God that you are. LOL Seriously be glad you those idiots who made fun of you showed there true colors. You could try looking up sites from people who can't hear. On those sites they sometimes have ways too meet people. If your in college try joining a club that interest you. Stay positive and have fun.

People are intimidated by something they dont know much about. They assume that just because you are not like everyone else that makes you weird or out of place. This is coming from a girl who knows the feeling. My advice to you is that pay them no attention. Me i act like theres nothing wrong. People that do that have there own problems and in the end they half to face judgement on the choices they choose to make. Keep your head up high you will be just fine.

Most people are mean about things they don't understand. I have a deaf friend and I can tell that she has been hurt a lot by the hearing world. Try not to take it too personally. It has nothing to do with you, it's them and their ignorance.

Thing will start to get better now that your out of school.
Kids can be pretty mean.
I know what you mean I'm not completely deaf but in situations where there is a lot of background noise I'm lost. People get frustrated because I ask them to repeat what they said and look at me when they talk.
Good luck.
Love and blessings Don

Most of the time the people who are making fun are insecure about themselves. They make fun of others to make you look bad, so it will make them feel better about themselves. Not an excuse, just a reason. I have always tried to be nice to everyone, say hi to people you meet, make eye contact & acknowledge other people. Sometime just a smile a eye contact will make someones day.

unfortunately, that's the way some people are, they make fun of you because you are 'different' in some way. it's not easy to ignore those who are saying mean things. obviously you are doing really well at school and you should feel good about yourself that you have not let it affect your grades. keep your chin up and keep up the great work you are doing, you don't need to prove yourself to anyone, you are fine just the way you are!

You may be deaf, but it seems you can spot an asshole a mile away! Consider that a gift, and learn to avoid such ingrates. Good luck.

Darn it, i replaced into SO gonna advise Mr. Snugglymuffkins.... i like Xerxes in my opinion (however if its no longer on your record)., or you would possibly want to call him Nike (yet you ought to describe its no longer after the shoe...). Of those you listed, I lean in course of Titan. The smaller he's, the cuter it's going to be in truth. Or have you ever seen naming him after between the fates? i comprehend they were females, notwithstanding it will be well worth pondering, exceptionally neat names. (Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos)
