It's very wrong! According to statistics Russians are not the most alcohol-consuming nation in the world, but only 4th or 6th. (Finland is 1st) I am Russian and i have never even tried vodka, i never drink, i have lots of russian friends who are just like me.
I just read a question where a guy was mocking a romantic letter a russian girl wrote to him and someone said that vodka induced it. This is so mean, I feel offended.
Vodka is even a polish word.

I am with you on this one. I too have noticed that every time there is a question involving word Russian, someone always mentions vodka and the fact that Russians drink. There are a lot of stereotypes about Russians going around, and most of them are wrong. I learned to ignore them most of the time, but on some occasions it really gets to you.
Oh, have you seen a question about Russians giving their children vodka in the winter mornings before sending them outside.

I always thought the biggest cliche was WE DID IT FIRST, followed by WE WILL BURY YOU
Also I was raised on Star Trek and Chekov always mutters "It's a Russian inwention!"
I also thought the cliches include they big fur hats and that funny dance done low on the ground with high kicks.
The only time I see Vodak Cliches is in movies, like that James Bond flick in Russia, Golden Eye.
Oh yea, and you can't have a Russian anything without the name Boris!

I always think of Sputnik, and someone saying "My Father is Russian. My Mother is Russian too! But I'm in no hurry." By the way, I Like Stoli!!!!
