I believe Angels are supposed to exist in Judaism, Islam and Christianity. How about other religions like Buddhism, Hindusiam, Jainism, Voodoo, Sikhism, African religions, Celtic religions, and other religions etc. Do they have Angels too - how is the discrepancy accounted for? Also some religions are not Monotheistic - how is that accounted for across other religions? thanks.

here's the website:

answers in genesis would seem to be the most frequently cited creationist website, and yet these arguments which ken ham (president of AiG) is so against are still used pretty regularly.

so, do you creationists simply disagree with ken ham and think that arguments such as "darwin recanted evolution on his deathbed" and "if we evolved from apes, then why are there still apes?" ARE in fact good arguments?

or is it that you've simply never been told about this page?

Not every Christian is narrowminded, and not every Atheist is immoral. There are plenty of immoral Christians and narrowminded atheists. I will agree that in the past of Christianity, we'll find some ugly moments. However, the Enlightenment turned a blind eye to the institution of slavery. No man, no school of thought, is perfect. So why do we find it necessary to come out here, sling philosophical and spiritual mud, and make fools out of ourselves and eachother? (For those of you ready to point me out as guilty of the same - don't bother, I'm copping to it now.) Hey, I'm just spending my five points to get this rant off my chest. I've spent the last six hours reading Derrida, my head is spinning, and I just wish Atheists and Christians would stop shooting barbs at eachother. Can't we respect each other's beliefs and ideas?

Blame me, Mr. Gibson. It is my idea.

Yes how do you like that, nobody has the right to ask muslim women to stop wearing veils. So Ken Livingstone thinks it should be scrapped. Well lets scrap miniskirts and alcohol for a start. We all know alcohol is responsible for the breakdown of society so even dare to defend it. How do you like that!

I'm not asking this because I don't know the answer. I have my own answer. It's just something to be aware of in your own debates.

I am sure Christians have already forgiven him. He is only human. Since he has already apologized, life can continue.

But...I would like Mr. Gibson to go live with some Jewish families for a year. Some in America, some in Israel, some in another country. That would make an excellent reality TV show! Give me credit, Hollywood.

When the bible says dont judge and you wont be judge, according to so many scriptures we need to contune reading on down. Ofcourse you shouldnt judge somone if you are doing the same thing as their doing or even worse....No you dont need to judge anyone in that case. But if I see my brother or sister falling into sin and I am living a righteous life, I would tell them that this is wrong what you are doing, follow these steps and you can change...Thats rightous judgement, you are warning your sister or brother that the path they are taking is not good...
John 7 verse 24
24Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

When he came over to my house, he was shocked to discover that I live on 3 acres of beautiful property with an automatic gate out front and a stone wall around 3 sides of my property.

My house is a 3400 sq. ft. 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house with marble tile in the entryway/foyer, cherry hardwood floors throughout the house, I have $3,000 dollar Persian handmade rugs on my floors, wainscoting, crown molding, and most of my furniture is handmade of oak and mahogany.

I also have a hand built 5.6 liter V12 midengine mounted sports car that goes from 0-60 in under 5 seconds and is painted bright fire engine red. The appraised value of the car is close to $100,000 dollars.

And this fool lives in a trailer park with his mom.

P.S. I also am a pilot, scuba diver, gun collector, skipper of my own small yacht, and world traveler.

What do you think?

If I am human trash, what does that make him? POOP?

My boyfriend left me and I'm not entirely unhappy about it, but I just feel like I should say something to let him know I'm not upset. I'm an attractive gay male and I'll be able to find someone, so I'm not worried about that. I just want to let him know there are no hard feelings, but I don't want to come off as a fool. How should I tell him?

Just wondering when English as we know it will die out? By "as we know it" I mean a point when an average native fluent English speaker of today wouldn't be able to understand the majority of something being spoke to him/her, or something written.

My friends and I through a bit of trickery are going to be able to dress 2 different guys up at Halloween. They both were putting women down in a sociology class and we decided that this could be a great bit of payback. We want something sexy and fun. Neither one knows the other one will be doing this and they are both rather slight so we thought we'd give them a theme to make it even more fun. So far we're a bit stuck. We've come up with Britney and Cristina, Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton, the two girls from Abba, 80s Madonna and current Madonna, or the Olsen Twins. We like Nicole and Paris the best, but other than the dog we couldn't come up with actual costumes so they would look like the celebrity. We think it'd be a riot when they saw each other and suddenly reallized they were part of a theme. Any ideas for that costume or easier to manage famous pairs? Help!!! :)
