Should women stop wearing miniskirts? Should we ban alcohol?

Yes how do you like that, nobody has the right to ask muslim women to stop wearing veils. So Ken Livingstone thinks it should be scrapped. Well lets scrap miniskirts and alcohol for a start. We all know alcohol is responsible for the breakdown of society so even dare to defend it. How do you like that!

Yeh I know what your trying to say..its like these people cannot let muslims get on with their lives..its not like they are harming anybody by wearing veils..Whereas things like miniskirts and alcohol, it causes women to be seen as sex objects, the rate of rapes being commited is increasing due to this and alcohol etc..the world is so corrupt.

Alcohol is not responsible for the breakdown of society, never has been and never will be. The breakdown of society is in the hearts of man going on his own and forgetting God. Nothing made by man can break down the society. If the heart was not bad, alcohol would not be any influence. People do not do bad things because they drink, but because they have heart trouble.

Moderate alcohol drinking is not wrong. A little wine or beer can even be good.
And Muslim women have the right to wear whatever they want.
(I'm not sure about the miniskirts... Probably if they allow a view of the underwear they are too short indeed.)

If they scrap mini skirts I will kill them!!.....or just move to Japan where all the girls where miniskirts....yay! But seriously you are right they do not have the right to do that, but if it's against the policy of let's say a restaraunt than just take it off. There are rules against miniskirts as well. I do agree that stuff like beer should be banned but if you get wine banned.......

One thing about your question, miniskirts and alcohol are not made so that people have to wear or drink it. They are here and you can make the decision on how to dress, and what to drink. Muslim women wear their veils because their religion was made or written by men. Not because they necessarily wanted to wear them, most of them wear them because if not repercussions will come unto them.
Now put that on a pipe and smoke it.

Ah well, I know where you are coming from but....

All this negative publicity about Islam is because of the wars in the Middle East and Afghanistan. I've seen it before, in Britain, because what the Muslims are now going through, Irish Catholics had to endure pretty much the same kind of treatment because of the then current situation in Northern Ireland.

Banning miniskirts in western society would be virtually impossible, and they tried to ban alcohol back in the 1920's and it didn't work.

Things should be taught by example. How can we expect people to not want to do anything when it is show to us as everyone doing it? Our current society is modifing with the time. I believe in our society and thus I believe we will overcome such poor choices of living by evolving into a more intelligent species. I can see the evidence of it. It is slight because our society is growing so fast.
No, I don't believe anyone should be told to not drink or what to ware as clothes. It really shouldn't matter as to what a person wares as long as it is not offensive in society.

Personally let them do as they wish but I would not wear a miniskirt nor do I drink anything stronger than Iced tea or diet coke. Let each person live as they are called by the dictates of their own faith.I have no issue with hijab.

do not get aggressive it ruins your witness. It is only the weak and mindless who have bitten the capitalistic bug that get critical. Every one who has lived at all sees the value of covering a beautiful face and that mini skirts and alcohal cause a similar diversion. yes we are decadent so help us out of it and being aggressive will not work as your scriptures tell you. Forget the commentaries and stick to what God breathed.
