Women are lacking in intelligence and cannot practice religion during their menses-thus saith Allah's Apostle

Volume 1, Book 6, Number 301:

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

Once Allah's Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o 'Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Apostle ?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."

How can the bible prove stuff ?

First off, I'm a Catholic seminarian (future priest), and my question is mainly for other Christians.
I noticed that a lot of people here answer questions about science, evolution, Big Bang and such and such by quoting from the bible. My question is this: how can you use the bible as a science book, when there are so many contradictions in it? For example, there are two explanations of how the earth and man was created, so which one should we believe? And how can it be that the Jews in Babylon knew how the universe began?

To people who are against...?

Abortions: So you think your saving a life? Do you think your doing something good? Not all people who get abortions are sluts... Most of the time they spend there last dime on it so there child wouldn't have to suffer... Most children who are adopted are abused and treated horribly. But you don't care do you?

Gay marriage: Explain to me why this matters so much to you... you can't let people live happy lives? Did it ever hurt you? Does other peoples happiness not matter to you? How would you like it if I became president and tried to take away straight marriage? (not possible but a what if...)

Stem Cells: Why would you be against this of all things? They don't have to use fetuses they can use umbilical cords as well... Would you really take someones who IS born life away just for the cost of one that hasn't started? I know it may seem barbaric. If you had a chance to save someones life before you were born would you take it?

Whats wrong with???????

My bf and i like to call each other things like for him i call him my guido or ginny and he calls me his sp*c or latina. Both of our parents seem to take great offense to this even after almost 4 years of us dating and doing so and in public people do double takes and seem to get angry what gives?Its only a joke?We love each other and may get married.
