I always freak out, so I want to know what helps you stay calm during any kind of natural disaster, not just a tornado.

Put your tongue to the roof of your mouth and click your teeth 90 times. Ninjas used this method over 800 years ago to attain calmness.

It's OK to freak out during a tornado. They are rare and violent, so you have every reason not to stay calm. Just stay in a safe place. Hopefully you will not experience that many tornadoes in your life!

Natural disasters are again rare for any one location or person, and it's a normal response to 'freak out'. Things of this magnitude are just plain scary and I know of no easy remedy to help calm you.

Unless you are the unluckiest person on Earth, you shouldn't have to deal with this many (if any) times in your life.

I lived through hurricane Katrina and when I finally said to myself I don't give a s h i t what happens next I suddenly got calmer. I actually was asleep by the time we lost the roof off of our house. Just don't worry about what is to be in the next moment.By the way we all lived even without a roof.
