They should co-exist. I believe in God's creations, but also believe that with time everything evolves to adapt.

Creation is the truth, evolution is a lie.
Evolution used to be called a theory. Isn't it strange how if you tell a lie often enough and long enough some people come to believe that it's the truth.
Just think critically for a moment.
In an archeological dig when they find anything of intricate design that has never been seen before they believe that the humans of that era created it . Why don't they just say 'look at what has evolved and is now extinct'.
Is it possible to breed a horse and a cow and create a new animal? No! Each and every species is different. You can take a the sperm from a clydesdale and impregnate a miniature pony and still have a horse (but probably with dire consequences for both pony and foal), but you can't take the sperm from that clydesdale and impregnate an animal of another species. The animal will just not get pregnant. You cannot produce life from it.

The curent understanding christains have of the bible does not afford for a duel truth. It is a them or me mentality. It seems that the christain can not be wrong and that all others need to be so they can sleep at night.

Many people will say that there is a new thought that they are the same that god made all and inturn "allowed" evolution and many christains will say this is a exsample of a every one wins way of looking at it.

this is inccorect. this is the same statement we are right you are wrong. because for this new thought to be tru there must be belief in god. this inturn negates the evoltions core arguement " that there is no god".

This is not to say that those who belive in evolution dont ct or fel the same way " IE using creative arguments to disprove god or the belief in god".

So in my though they can never agree completley. since the core of the argument " reality of god" Is some thing neither side will agree with.

Further more this question its self lends to the confusion. since the two can not be compared.

evolution = scientific theroy

creation = spirtual activity

we are arguming apples and oranges
the only true way to get this cleared is to addres root issue.

and the problem there is tis

evoltion can not dissprove god
and faith can not disprove science

it is all perception

It's like asking Can Oil and Water mix, or can you serve
Two Masters at the same time?

Creation is indeed an accepted Law and an Instinct Knowledge that naturally comes out in every human being and creations of God.

Whereas, Evolution was just deceitfully formulated by a mere human being, it is just a "Theory" (meaning it hasn't been proven yet that's why it is not a Law and can be disputed).

Until now they are still finding the Evolution Theory's elusive "Missing Link". They can't even find a creature that is undergoing an Evolutionary (transition) process. (like for example a half-man and a half-monkey, or maybe a half-fish & a half-frog)

God bless us :)

michael x above - thats not even close to an answer to the question. 2 pts for participation though!!

one says a higher power created us, the other says we evolved ourselves from a super human cell. i dont think you can fully believe in evolution and allow some creationism to mix in, nor can you truly believe in creation and allow some evolutionism to mix in.
the only way you can combine the two for a more logical explanation is to say there is no absolute truth and that people can make up whatever they choose to believe as truth.

so to decide whether the two mix or not, you kinda have to decide whether there is absolute truth or whether truth can be interpreted by the individual

It looks like they will always be at odds with eachother. Either God created man or man evolved. The age the Bible gives for the Earth is clearly not old enough to accomodate archeology or other sciences. You be the judge. Either the Bible is wrong or our interpretation of it is. If we agree that our interpretation of the Bible is wrong, then how can we gather anything from what it says?

I wish I believed the two ideas could coexist, but clearly they can't.

I don't see anything in Genesis that even remotely resembles what really happened. That leaves me with two options.

1) Someone made it up.
2) Someone who is supposed to be writing a divinely inspired book got it so wrong that it was not recognizable and god didn't stop them.

1 seems to be the most likely to me. People make stuff up all the time. Look at the UFO nuts.

Adam and Eve were commanded to REPLENISH the Earth. Which means to do again. And according to scripture, lived
about 6000 yrs ago.
Evolution says there is a "missing link", in the natural
progression of humans, according to the physical evidence.
Could the first humans have been genetic mutations from
monkey DNA by higher intelligences?
And the human as we know it today, a boost to that process
by the Highest Intelligence.
We can put ALL these things in a logical framework once
we overcome egotistical false prides.

I believe that God works in mysterious ways and that his creation is wonderfully made to heal itself. If that healing takes the form of slow physical changes and alterations (evolution) then so be it. I have no problem giving the glory of such a masterful creative plan to the most high God.

but to think these are just random events... get real

I believe that there are aspects that are correct... for instance I do not believe that there where 2 of every kind of dog on the Ark I believe that there where two of the dog kind. I believe that God made the animals to evolve with-in their environment. But there is not nor will there be any provable evidence (or reproducible) for macro-evolution, the big bang fantasy, or the limitless expanses of time...

one is truth (creation) and one is a lie (evolution)

theistic evolution (the idea that God created the world by evolution) does not work as for evolution to happen things have to die.

'by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin'
Romans 5:12

there was no death in the world untill Adam and Eve sinned. as ppl come last in the Theory of evolution, evolution is false.
