Did he preform miracles?

Forever cursed by this game, he who plays with sin
Incantations summoned up our creations

We're players cast in this tale, believe it
stranger than fiction
This justice thunders our condemnation

Falling into innocence by a shadow's kiss
He speaks what mortals dare to say, will he betray?

If you dare play the game - your descent preordained
from their fiery thrones screaming,
cursing your name
On the terror it breeds - breathing fire and gree
watch him jest as you bleed...
Screaming enter the Damnation Game

We can not keep our heads clear,
or our tongues from evil
by this sword, certain death at our own hands

To have no wants is divine - untrue!
platinum waves tainted gold, we can only watch from
the shores

In Berkeley, Michigan, a nativity scene has sat at city hall for 65 years. The ACLU has filed an objection to that specifiying it violates the separation of church and state.

Three alternatives have been mentioned - place the nativity on a nearby business property, establishing a free-speech zone or letting religious leaders put it elsewhere.

The mayor of Berkeley said that in her own opinion the city should not be putting up religious displays.

What are your thoughts and views on the situation?

Bush just signed legislation for over a billion dollars for building miles and miles of fence along the US / Mexico border. And the Mexicans are upset. I would have thought they would be happy. What with the thousands of US citizens that cross the border to take their jobs, get free medical care, get their children educated free, you would think they would want to keep us out.

Oh wait a minute. I just remembered it's the MEXICANS who are doing that. Well, surprise, surprise, surprise. Who would have ever thought that the MEXICANS would be upset.

One Mexican official said something to the effect of, "What we should be doing is improving relationships to become better neighbors not building fences."

Being a better neighbor means I don't break into your house, live there without paying rent, demand the neighbor give me free health care, and educate my children free of charge. Real neighbors respect each other and come to visit when they are INVITED. Then GO HOME.

I would much rather read something long that was written by the answerer then something copied and pasted. I give thumbs down just so I don't have to scroll though it.

In U.S. history, the "n" word was a the derogatory term that whites called blacks. It still is derogatory if a white person calls a black person by the "n" word.

My question is why have black people embraced this word and call each other the "n" word today? Why would a person, or a group of people, willingly choose to identify themselves with such a negative, derogatory term?

How can you claim that an atheistic life is pointless when you place all importance on a 2,000 year old dead man?

Since so many of you are so fond of Pascal's wager take a look at it from another angle. What if YOU are wrong? What if there is no god or afterlife. If you waste your one chance to do anything of substance on wishing for an afterlife, doesn't that remove all meaning from the one life you know to be true for certain... namely this one?

The atheistic outlook, in which one lives one life and then is extingushed forever, seems to be much more meaningful in this respect. You have one life, it shouldn't be wasted.

Christianity has historically tended to be brutal and judgmental in its assessment of other faiths; Buddhism has tended to create fatalistic cultures which do not have a deep existential sense of the worth of the human person. Why not take the best of both worlds?

....if Laws were enacted making such unions legal?

This is a serious question; it is not meant as a joke. If you don't know the answer, please do not post insulting answers. And no, I am not Gay however, I believe there are many people, myself included, who do not understand the legal issues (wills, property, children, etc) which would result if Gays were allowed to
marry..legally. Or, if legalized, if it would simply mirror the same issues as we find in a heterosexual marriage.
Thank you.

"It is true that God created us in his own image. but that image was twisted by the Fall (when humans sinned and turned away from God)" [from an answer to a previous post]

SURELY He wouldn't have expected anything else? He made Adam and Eve, and He knows everything, therefore He KNEW they were going to sin....?

I was speaking with her in a group today, and I found out that she wasnt at all gay. She apparently has a crush and the others were teasing her. It was devestating. I hope they didnt notice I was acting wierd after them having fun teasing her. I just didnt know what to say and just sat there listening and thinking. How much does that suck? But I cant stop thinking about her. I think I have gone mad.
