What type of lie, is actually a truth ?

(This may be the original sin that has deceived mankind since Eden! )

Truth is truth, we are taught that.
Lies are lies, we are taught that.
But what kind of lie is actually a truth ?

I am helping prepare for the UPF World Peace Tour when it comes to Melbourne on Thursday, 28th.
For the Islamic and Bahaii followers that want to fast and pray for Ramadan, are there any special things I can help with?
We have tea and coffee, but they will not be served in the main room where the Ramadan observers will be.
We also have a separate room prepared for prayer.
One meeting is from 2pm to 4pm in Werribee.
Another is from 5:45 pm to 7:30pm in The Arts Centre, Melbourne.
if you have enquiries, email: upf_geelong@yahoo.com.au

Meekness makes sense to me, I've never seen anywhere in the Bible that it said meek makes weak. If someone is doing you wrong is it intellegent to strike back right away, or is it smarter to be gentile like a lamb and wait for the right moment?

My friend is Mexican and I met him in the 7th grade (he just moved from mexico)and he learned english really quickly (we are now freshman in high school). I asked him how he learned english so fast and he said by watching lots of television. Sooo...

Any good spanish speaking shows I can watch? Im not a big fan of novelas but thats all that basically show on the spanish shows. And any good books in spanish I could read? (Not "how to speak spanish" kinds of books, more like novels written in spanish). Im giong to be going to Costa Rica within the next two years hopefully and want to improve the spanish I learned in high school

In my opinion being mexican in this country is extremly hard and especially in LA where mostly mexicans live but none of us seem to be getting ahead. I dont know if its because of our own family or because we really cant get a break. I think everyone makes what they want out of their own life but how is it that in la the only succesful public figure thats seen in tha mass media is the mayor whos hardly mexican cuz he looks more like a token to me!! Its stupid that in LA my intelligence is always put to a question and ppl naturally assume i just crossed the border(not that theyres bad in taking what belongs to us back!!!!)but i would like to be seen as intelligent and potentially succesful as oppossed to a frijolero(which I AM and proudly !but thats for me to say,not for others to assume!) And yes i can do more than cut the grass or be a sancho to your wife(latin lover mith...TRUE!!)but i digress...

its one thing to do it while youre driving down the interstate (i admit im guilty) but it really pisses me off when some guy comes to pick up his girlfriend or waits on his buddy, sitting in his truck with the radio blared right next to my window, at all hours

i cant tell you how many time i get woken up by these sh*theads, i dont sleep well as it is, but have some common curtosy and turn it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you're anywhere near a home (or HUGE apt complex in my case) shut the f*ck up!!!

To be fair, I'll read "Atheist" arguments to try to understand what people on my wavelength are thinking, but I don't automatically accept everything an "Atheist Philosopher" has to say. There is a certain amount questioning that goes into understanding your own disbelief in a deity. There is always the possibility I could be wrong. I accept that fact though I find it unlikely.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I rarely see much independent thought on the Theist side of the argument. You tend to get very rigid and regurgitated answers and questions.
For example:
"The world is too beautiful for no god to exist. Just look at baby eyes."
"Free Will explains everything."
"The world is perfect but humans came along and f*cked everything up." (And a perfect god created them for what exactly?)
Etc. etc. etc.

I was wondering if anyone knew why it was unusual for Jews to associate with Samaritans.
I've recently been reading John 4:1-26 It's the story of Jesus talking to the women at the well and I've been wondering about this, was it religous difference?

I am specifically referencing the three religions of Abrahamic tradition - Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. All these religions have killed each other in the name of God, despite sharing the same God. What gives?

Let be preface my question with two statements:
1) I am not racist despite what you may believe due to my question
2) Not all black people are like this

Now for the question:
If black people desire respect, as do all of us, then why do they refuse to act respectable? Why should someone receive respect when they constantly pervert the English language by writing and saying words completely wrong (ie: da, dat, blang-blang, mo instead of more, fo sho, fo shizzle, etc., etc., etc.)? Why should someone be respected when they have gold and diamonds in their 'mouf?' Why should someone be respected when they can't pull up their pantsto hide their boxers and whose shorts go to just above their ankles? Why should we respect people that glorify crack, guns, and hoes? If people want respect, they have to earn it. I'm not saying they have to conform completely to society's standards, but if they want respect, they'll have to meet halfway. Until then, why do they complain about it so much?

You claim that god has a plan, and god works in mysterious ways, and everything that happens is according to god's plan... so why then do you all go around trying to stop things from happening (abortion, homosexual marriage, science education, freedom of religion)? If everything that happens is part of god's plan don't you think by trying to affect change you are meddling in his plan?
