My daughter's best friend was care flighted to UTMB in Galveston, Tx following a horrendous accident. Please pray for her as she is on life support and nonresponsive. Her name is Megan H...and is 25 years old. She has bleeding in her head...and the next few days are CRITICAL! I know this venue is usually not for this type of thing, but I truly believe in prayer. My daughter lives1800 miles away from her and feels helpless...my girl is working in a trauma unit in Utah and is beside herself with grief! Send Megan H's name out to everyone you know to pray for a full recovery. Thank you thank you thank you....Carole from Plano, Texas May God bless you for your efforts!

Could someone please tell me about, Glendale Hospital, Forest Haven, Ceder Knolls, and Hell House? Are these places really haunted? and if they are do you know the legend behind them and why they are haunted?

My parents believe this and i don't. They seem to think that i'm suposed to be a mirror image of them and i don't agree with that. They've raised me well and i'm thankful to them for that, but I don't think i'm suposed to share all of the same beliefs and convictions and standards with them. They do tend to have very extreme beliefs that i could never agree with because it's so unbalanced!

Now I know we are all sinners but shouldn't the Christian Church stand up against any killing that is going on, be it against us or from us......? I personally believe that the mainstream media has changed the way we think and we look at them more as ' suggestions ' than commandments. Your thoughts?

What do you all think about stereotypes? Do you think they are getting out of hand these days? Or no? What stereotype is often directed at you, and how do you handle it?

I've seen and heard many stereotypes based an race, gender, and belief. But I wa wondering about occupation for some reason. Out of curiousity, what stereotypes have you heard about actors and actresses, artists, students, doctors, and so on.

That's just out of curiousity. I really don't like stereotypes. The sterotypes that are directed at me can be proven wrong just as easily as anyone can proves theirs wrong... or right. So yeah. Multiple questions there.

It doesn't say that in the Bible. In fact they had nose piercings back then...it was an engagement ring. It never ever says that piercings or tatoos are wrong. What i've always believed is that as long as we are living our lives for Christ and our modivations or reasoning for doing something isn't wrong than what could possibly be wrong with it?

Jesus before the cross stated "I go for the joy set before me, that ye might believe."

How could Jesus die as the promised Messiah our atonement for sins-if he never died???
Leviticus 17 vs 11

History -the calendar--- on and on-did they get it from Mohamed that married a 9 year old child-not just signed a paper for future marriage--did he say Jesus is a liar-and his followers-were all liars????

Jesus said as Jonah was in the belly 3 days so will the Son be in for 3 days and rise again.

Jesus if you try and take out of the bible or add to the book you will be cursed-Revelation 22nd chapter Jesus protected His word--- and His work is to set each of us free and be our savior and best friend--- NOT A RELIGION

RELIGION IS MAN MADE-JESUS IS GOD MADE INTO MAN---Jesus said before Abraham was I am. I and my father are one., if you have seen me u have seen the father. h2o water steam and ice--- God is God he can take any form he wants -but is always God
Jesus is alive now!!

www.philosophyforlife.com/mctoc.htm
(entire book is online to read if you want to)
I have only read the first 2 chapters...but it seems like an interesting book.
C.S. Lewis started out as an aetheist then he converted to Christianity...while he was at Oxford University he wrote this book...so he understood both sides to a degree, and has some interesting points, I think.
But since it is a long book...what do you think of just ch. 1 (for now)...(it is fairly short if you are considering whether to read it or not)

Below is the article from the NY Times regaridng the Pope's remarks.

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/18/world/18cnd-pope.html?hp&ex=1158638400&en=09867eb4bf0ed8e6&ei=5094&partner=homepage

I think one of the key things to remember is that Catholisism and the Pope has been a key target of the Islamofacisits for decades. The 9/11 terrorists likened the Pope to Satan. According to the Koran, Christians are considered to be "godless infidels". So when the modern day Pope quotes his 16th Century predessecor, inflaming the Islamic community, is it truly necessary to apologize?

Do you find it frustrating when the xtians answer ignorantly about their own faith? Irritating when they twist your words? And completely ridiculous when they state that any non-believer just can't understand the bible since they are not of the faith? As if when you become a believer you get some magical glasses that will let you read it and understand. Jeesh, it is like having a conversation with a 2 year old! Oh and let's not bring up the circular reasoning!

I have spent my life studying religion, primarily the xtian faith and the bible, to be told by some spoonfed idiot that I don't know what I'm talking about. However, I have yet to meet a xtian that has read the bible as many times as I or to have studied the history. ARRRGH. I get so completely frustrated and angry with them! Yes, I'm ranting, but I would also love to hear from others their thoughts, feelings and ideas if you have any. Thanx.

If there was a land that you did not need money to live your life,
If there was a land where people are free to do as they please as long as those people bring no harm to the environment and other people’s right to that very same freedom,
If there was a land where food, shelter, clothing, education, and entertainment was provided for free
And if such a land was to be; it would not be governed by any type of government popularly know today and instead governed by every single citizen equally

Would you want to live in this land?

The most pious (closer to God) people in Christianity are not allowed to marry i.e priests and nuns. So if all the Christians were to become very religious and become priests and nuns, how would Christianity survive after they all die? Since they would not have any children to continue the religion.
