Eze 18:24 ¶ But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, [and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked [man] doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. , and committeth iniquity, [and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked [man] doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
You tell me. I think your preacher man lied to you. What is righteousness? Duet 6:25. What is iniquity? According to the Greek dictionary in Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, the word iniquity is word #458 from word #459, and means: transgression of the law, not subject to the law.
458. a*nomiva an™mia, an-om-ee¢-ah; from 459; illegality, i.e. violation of law or (gen.) wickedness:—iniquity, x transgress (-ion of) the law, unrighteousness.
459. a!nomo" an™m™s, an¢-om-os; from 1 (as a neg. particle) and 3551; lawless, i.e. (neg.) not subject to (the Jewish) law; (by impl. a Gentile), or (pos.) wicked;—without law, lawless, transgressor, unlawful, wicked.

Some believe in this doctrine....but some abuse it too. Those who believe it think that once they ask Jesus to forgive them and come into their heart, he comes to stay and will never leave. They base it on the teaching that 'no one can pluck them from my Father's hand"... They think that once we accept Jesus, it is an eternal agreement. Those who seem to have been 'saved' this way if they should sin and do bad things, they tend to say that they were never really saved in the first place. If they were, they would not have done the bad stuff. But the Bible tells in many different places that a person has a free will to choose. Just as you choose to follow Christ, you can choose not to follow Christ. He will not force you to go to heaven if you want to go to hell. I believe that Ananias and Saphira sinned, lying to the Holy Spirit, a sin of deception, and when they died, there was no opportunity to repent...and they are probably in hell. God today often give folks a chance to make it right. He is a merciful God. But there are times, when His mercy is strained. True Christians will choose to walk in total obedience to God, All God ever asked was to have our love and our obedience.

Salvation is a process. It only comes through the Mercy of Jesus Christ, the only Savior of the world. However, it requires an effort to strive for these blessings. (Not to get into a discussion of Faith and Works.) If you were good for 1 hour and were pronounced "Saved" and then went right back to what you were doing, were you really "Saved"? But if you actually were "saved", wouldn't your works show it by the good actions and consistent Christ like charity?

So many people believe that and it's sad. We can all fall short from the glory of God. Yes He is merciful and full of grace, but what do we do to obtain salvation. We have to repent, be baptized in Jesus' name and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Our walk is daily. We make mistakes, but we will be convicted if what we do is wrong. We must stay sensitive to the fact we are not perfect and will be tempted by things.

this may seem familiar deny me in front of men and i will deny you in front of my father, if your saved then just act it, because the place for the people of God is heaven not hell those who are not for God are simply against God, that means Islam, Buddha, and some of the obvious ones like Wicca, Satanism etc. so what i am saying is it is easy to gain salivation but its hard to loose but don't get me wrong i personally be live its possible i think Ananias and Sapphira went to hell , and i know what your talking about from the book of acts i read my bible my father is a pastor (Pentecostal), he has preached on their story on multiple occasions.

No, one can always fall from grace.
That's why it is important to go to church and stay within the religious community.
The bible mentions that many of Jesus disciples who followed Him ended up leaving before He even died.

Okay. I am answering this because I have read the other answers and no one has really answered this correctly. Once you are saved you are ALWAYS saved. Here are just a couple reasons why.
1. Salvation is a free gift of God.
Romans 5:15 " But not as the offense, so also is the free gift: for if through the offense of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many "
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 " Therefore, as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life."
Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteous but according to his mercy he saved us"
This pretty much sets straight the whole "you have to earn and work to keep salvation" theory. The Bible clearly states that salvation and everlasting life is a FREE gift through Jesus Christ. If you had to work for salvation, it would not be free.
2. We cannot be taken out of God's hand.
John 10: 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
This also disproves works for salvation. If we could lose our salvation, then that means that something could take us out of God's almighty hand. The bible clearly states that nothing can pluck us out of God's hand.
I hope this answered your question. If you have anymore, let me know. I would be happy to answer if I am able.

See my question on a similar topic. Some say yes, some say no. Personally I say yes, however it is possible to fall away from God.
